Non US HL2 fans will have to wait a few days

This suggests that people who do not live in North America will not have HL2 in stores at the same time as in the US. Discuss.

It doesn't mean shit, all they're saying is Valve will be releasing it on Steam when it hits shelves in the U.S. That doesn't mean that you can't buy it on the shelves in Europe before you can in the U.S.

And also to Sirmcnugget, you first say "Non US HL2 fans will have to wait a few days" and then you go on to saying that actually Non North American Half-Life 2 fans will have to wait. Were you and harhar in the same geography class? Because I sure as hell hope you know that Canada is also in North America. Americans, when will they learn.

No crap Canada is not in the US. The reason for the discrepency is that in the mail Gabe just said US, but US and Canadian game stores and distribution networks are closely related so I expanded the area to include Canada and technically Mexico though I don't really care about them. In addition I dont really care if you think global release means the exact same day because it dosen't, it just means not months apart. In fact I just said to discuss the comment and didn't even say that it certainly meant certain parts of the world wouldnt have it the same day. Yeah when will americans ever learn, of course you include the company that made the game in that. Dumb americans who needs them wed rather be german citizens or dead and not playing Half-Life or any other game.

A friend of mine is in the USA for a year and she'll buy it and send it to me ;D

Bah. they better not try to screw someone around, or someone may consider warez. (until it is released, and that person can purchase it)

Nonsense.

They won't translate the game, they only translate manuals and instructions.
