Why the heck is everyone in a uproar about this? You can run the game perfectly well with a Geforce 5600 Ultra or a 9600 Pro. Provided, you wont be able to use all the bells and whistles, but you'll be able to run the game at a good image quality.
Why the heck is everyone in a uproar about this? You can run the game perfectly well with a Geforce 5600 Ultra or a 9600 Pro. Provided you dont use all the bells and whistles, you'll be able to run the game at a smooth FPS, with pretty good graphics(I think the E3 demos was without AA or FSAA).

You can play HL2 full detail at 1204x1080, I think it was, with 40fps. And those benchmarks where alittle misleading. I saw on one site the full progression of the fps in the demo the hightest the 9600pro got was 350fps, and the lowest was what they put as the results, not the average. 40fps is not bad, but it was only at that for a few seconds. Just making a guess the avergae seemed aroung on the high 50s, on the 9600pro
