I just thought it was interesting, seeing a giant ship being carried by another giant ship. That's just some mind boggling engineering, because they would've had to have lifted it out of the water with cranes, which were also probably in the water.

No cranes. The transport ship can submerge it's deck, they use tugboats to pull the ship on top of it, then the transport ship rises back up.
