..so it's time to kick ass

After failing to extract a written promise of concessions on settlements, Mr Obama walked out of his meeting with Mr Netanyahu but invited him to stay at the White House, consult with advisers and "let me know if there is anything new", a US congressman, who spoke to the Prime Minister, said.

in other words: "you're bringing the same old crap to the table and we're sick of it. let me know when you're ready to talk about taking real steps towards progress"

that's pretty awesome of Obama not taking shit from Netanyahu over news of planned settlements in east jerusalem in defiance of a US request

background story:

With strains still high between Israel and the United States over the issue of Jewish settlements, construction of a contentious Jewish housing project in a predominantly Arab neighborhood of East Jerusalem could start at any time

It's nice that he's acting tough but unless he's actually willing to do something about the aid and support they get from us then this is just a meaningless gesture. $10 says Israel's funding nor support will never be threatened by this administration.

So I'm not gonna compare Obama to this guy just yet:

probably not but it sends the right nmessage ..and it makes him look like a take no shit kinda guy. this is better than previous democrat presidents who were seem somewhat as pushovers

I can't claim to understand the intricacies of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but from what I've read and what I know of the history, they are both unwilling to give even an inch without a firefight. No one is going to get anywhere without someone saying "ok this is enough" and conceding something.

Sounds about right, though i fear assassinations and such non sense.

Obama dares to say a word in opposition to Israel, and the Zionists flip shit and now he's an anti-semite, it's pathetic. Still, they wouldn't say a damn thing if this guy was in office:

Yeah ... the Israeli's hold onto the "anti-semitic" card like a child does his security blanket. It's literally impossible to disagree with anything Israel does, especially in relation to Palestine, without being anti-semitic. It's ****ing silly and makes it impossible to take such claims seriously when they may actually be valid.

Regardless, good for Obama. He's been improving his image considerably in the last month or two. He's starting to look like a leader instead of a middleman.

It must be stated clearly and simply. Unfortunately, there is an anti-Semitic president in America
Blow it out your ass!

obviously you love Hitler. also REMEMBER THE HOLOCAUST

not really as you have to use Hitler as a comparison to something. this was more of "I love hitler and hate jews"
