Khajit. There's something really sneaky about the bastards.

I loved going around on Morrowind and slaughtering the khajit shop keepers :p then stealing all their moneys !

I would play kajit, except they can't wear helmets or shoes - which means I'll miss stat-bonuses from armor. It's not very good for the long run.

Which is lame. Khajit and argonian should be able to have specially tailored boots/helmets.

Either imperial or dark elf..I think dark elf has resistance to fire..while imperial are just good fighting characters.

I hope there's coats. I just wanna be a bad ass with a big sword and like a trench coat. Eff this armor crap, I don't need it.

Hmm...maybe I'll give it a shot this time around.

I mean, light armor's my favorite...and I love jumping around...makes sense to just go the next step, I guess.

You're going to need a VERY fast computer to be able to keep up with all the high-detail segment loading you'll be doing if you have the speed skill or high-jump skill.

the unamored skill isn't in Oblivion anymore according to the website...atleast it's not listed with the rest of the skills.

Well there's always the athletics and agility skills. I think you can dodge in Oblivion.

I have to go with a good old Orc. lol seems like nobody wants High Elf.

Wood Elf, if they upload a picture. But for now Imperial.

I'll be an Imperial first, and a Nord second. In ESIII, I always was a nord, but now the Imperial sounds promising (mainly because the sword skill isn't as crap as it was in MW, the early part of the game anyway)

I'm pretty sure you can play as a vampire
Oh yes. I have heard this too and I absolutely love that they aren't talking about it, like the house you can buy that is haunted. We have to find it for ourselves and when I do...oh boy am I going to have fun with that one!!!

hopefully it will have a tiolet and lots of books (no handheld pcs back then) ;)

Now THERE'S an idea for a mod.
Find a pile of boulders and crouch behind it once a day or suffer fatigue inducing flatulence and constipation. Collecting leaves that aren't spikey to use as toilet paper could be a sub quest.

i'd buy THAT for a dollar :D

irritated bowel syndrome can be a penalty for not defecating on a regular basis ..you could purchase herbs to fix the problem from Ye Olde Butt Remedy Merchant ...wow this is truely a golden age of immersive gameplay :O

indeed. First time such a realistic landscape has existed in a game - those shots are so much like the English countryside around where I live. Combining that with things that want to chew your intestines in the dark will be a little unnerving to play...

and If all those plants run smoothly on my rig i'll eat somebody else's hat.

I was just reading about the factions you can join from the same site - http://www.oblivionportal.com/info/factions.php

Does anyone know if the faction you join has any bearing on the skills you can learn, or just on the quests you have access to? Could you be in the mages guild yet still focus soley on melee for example? I didn't play Morrowind enough to see how these things worked.

I played Morrowind alot.

Yea you can do quests in the mages guild even if you are a fighter, but I think after a few quests, you need to be a certain skill with magic to proceed any further with the mages guild quests.

Best thing to do is take all the quests you can get from all the guild masters, once you find them.

bet hiking in the countryside after you're done should be interesting :)

BOO!!!

/me screams like a frightened girl

 Stern you so silleh dude :p ... yeah, i have to say the scenery is amazing, and tbh, probably some of the best i've seen in any game to date.

No form of "medium armor" either, all armors either go into light armor class or heavy armor class..

For those who play Khaajit. From Wikipedia

You now play as the Cathay-Raht breed of Khajiit, who are nearly elven in appearence, and can wear boots, rather than the Suthay-Raht who were the playable breed in Morrowind.

There are the Oblivion racestats guys.
Each race (male or female) has a total of 320 attribute points.

Thanks goes out to FatonMontana on the GameSpot forums for translating a german article on hte game into a nice Exel document for the race stats.

Nord Barbarian for me <3
Those stats are from obliv and not Morrowind, right?
If so, awesome. Nice find.

Oblivion, but I won't trust anything 100% til the game is out..
I mean, according to that list Orcs are weaker in strenght than Nords and Redguards, wtf is up with that?
Was it that way in Morrowind? I can't remember..
If that list is the accurate one, I hope someone can make a realism mod..

Why should orcs be really strong? Most of them are scronny. Your thinking of Ogres...

True, I must be thinking of Ogres.

By the way, guys, I have new info on where the info is from, apparently the Prima Strategy guide has been released early in Germany, and that's where the stats are from.
So these ARE final.
