Occarina of Time

You can use your mouse. I personally just hook up a controller and use that.
I couldn't get the mouse to work on OoT. KB is just awful. Any tips for keyboard/mouse? This iz unplayble :/ still cool because it works.

This is the first time I've bothered with a console emulator.

I actually didn't like OoT. My friend had it and he really liked it. I'll give it a fair shot in the morning. :)

I changed
A button to A key
B button to D key
Z button to S key
R button to W key

It's a lot more comfortable

Best game ever. Period.

I have a logitech USB controller that works perfectly with most N64 emulators. And I do have a screenshone of the last boss at my knees (needless to say, a spoiler for those who didn't play the game, if there are such people).

Is the resolution on that mongulated? Link looks a bit squished and the environment seems a lot blander than what I just played D:

I really loved that game. Lets hope that its ported onto the DS but what annoyed me from replaying it was the cut scenes that I couldn't skip like the start and that annoyed me. I'm guessing you can speed that part up with the emulator?

Is that Ganondorf in his last form? Thats looks weird and not how I remember him.

You're supposed to put a bomb there to blow them away.
You need to finish the second "cave" in order to get pass.

Haha, I shudder to think how you will survive the Water Temple's puzzles :)

Ah, the water temple...
The first time through, it's confusing as hell. Three main levels, tons of siderooms, and all that jazz- for a n00b, it can be quite overwhelming. However, it's really a brilliant level. The whole atmosphere is fantastic, the puzzles are great, and it has one of the best fights in the entire game (I won't say what- don't want to spoil it for everybody). Basically, the more you play it, the easier it gets. At my peak, I could beat it in well under a half-hour. Probably still can.

Man, this is getting me all sentimental :)

I preferred the Shadow Temple over it in terms of atmosphere. Damn creepy and the end boss was memorable. Anyway, I'm going to play Wind Waker for a bit (Tower of the Gods ftw!)

Ah yeah, the shadow temple was excellent! Back when I first got the game, it scared my ten-year-old self out of my wits :D

But all in all...I actually think my favorite would probably be the Forest temple. It's just so... cool.

How late am I? Far too late to say that this is by far my favourite game of all time?

What an epic, anyone who hasn't partaken of it's excellence should do so now.

was scared shitless by it.

Hyrule Field at nightime as child Link.

And the Redead. :| Oh, the Redead...

EDIT: Water Temple in Majoras Mask was fuppin' INSANE. I was so confused by it. I was playing through MM recently, having tons of fun, then I got to Water Temple and... well, I haven't played the game since. Shame, really. Might have a go later this week though.

I liked the music in that temple, especially the high pitched <insert whatever the hell it is here> part.

I remember shitting myself when I went to get the Sun Song and hoping I would never see them again. Then I walked back into Hyrule market after the "incident" to find heaps of them. That scream...that horrid scream...

Finish it damn you! The boss in there IS insane....ly hard.

Yeah, I hated the part when you had to get through the room to get to the Sun Song tablet thing. I'd read about it in a magazine, and I just remember running as fast I could through the middle of the room, getting the song and then getting the hell outta there. I have no idea what that room looks like bar theres a jump in the middle over some toxic pool or something.

I did finished the Water Temple on my first go through MM years ago, but I've forgotten what it was. Its those damn water pipes and current system that got me. The temple looked awesome, and it was full of detail, but so damn confusing. Gonna do it later.

Definatly.

Another problem, when am i supposed to get a money pouch upgrade? (I just finished the Zoras Domain)

Kill golden skulltulas and pay the skulltula family in Kakariko village a visit. (House across from unbuilt building).

untitled1dh1.jpg

Am I supposed to go through that door? Cuz I can't dive deep enough to get in :/

You have to win the silver scale in the Zora diving contest first.

Ikerous: *SPOILER* when you go into the Kings room (and you're facing the king) look left there should be a hall, go down that and talk to the Zora (accept the challenge)Highlight to read

you need to light the bomb flowers on the Goron side or bombs to pass).
Whoops. I didn't know about the shortcut and I was in the Lost Woods when I saw a stone entrance, couriosity took over and I entered it. When I saw that it was the gorgon city, but with the stones blocking the entrance, I just had to get in. Needless to say I almost died trying to get in :P

rofl, "gorgon city"

Anyway, yeah, the Lost Woods is full of shortcuts to all sorts of areas. It's pretty useful earlier on in the game.

Hey, i've never played a game like this
In that last screenshot i posted, how far along am I in the game?
10, 20 percent? Lot more, lot less?

Meh... maybe 20 percent, or a little less. There's a lot of stuff to do ^__^

Yeah, got to be one of the best moments in the game. Then again...getting the unbreakable Giant's sword...

well there are 7 dungeons and you are about to start your third. So as far as the actual game goes youre about 3/7 of the way through. But, like all RPG's this game has a ton to do that isn't required, so yes I think you're about 10 percent through.

I have a Nintendo 64. Do you guys think I could buy a cheap copy of Ocarina of Time on ebay? :)

By the way, is it as boring as Donkey Kong 64? I never finished that damn game. if it is like DK64 let me know so I skip it.

Also, is it possible to download a rom?

He has just became an adult and has finished the 3 quests as a child. There are 3 main "quests" as a kid and 7 main "quests" as an adult. So you've done 3 of the 10 main "quests". But finishing each one is not quick to do.
