Formerly of Team Fortress software, John manages online platform development for Team Fortress 2 and other projects. Before that, John studied computer science at RMIT in Australia. John is apparently still suffering jetlag from the move to Seattle, as he doesn't seem to be able to make it in to work until past noon.

It means we have been duped once again into believing we would get some media over steam ever.
 
He says DOES'NT look which could mean today ar tommarrow I would think. Either that or he doesnt want to totally disapoint everyone.
 
No, that's his job title at Valve.
I'd say the fact that he's the online development manager would indicate that the only person more reliable on this subject is Gabe.
 
They must have knew hours ago it wouldnt come out today. They shouldnt have said anything untill the videos were released.
 
The suspence is killing me........I might as well go do something else

i like to know what could go wrong. there only videos not that hard to post up.....
 
what I dont get is that they had 5 years to prepare everything... id be cool if they had all this prepared after e3... guess not...
 
Why don't they just try to release them. I don't care if it crashes my computer or stops after dling 50%. It would still be good. Besides it's beta so they can do all kinds of crazy stuff.
 
If you keep looking at the Steam Monitor and it says the platform is updating, don't cream your pants or get frustrated - it's been doing it all day, and probably every day since the Monitor was put on there, but I don't know cos I didn't notice it until about 5pm today.
 
no i've never seen it being done before.. when it updates platfrom.. it means those guys are adding something to steam... but what?

A deja vu usually means something on the steam platform is changed! GET OUT OF THE GAMES TAB! What oyu perceive as your "Friends" are in fact an illusion, created to turn you into this - A kazaa node. For weeks you listed Erik Johnson, John Cook and Gabe Newell as your friends, but alas Neo - It was all an illusion.

Bleh, haha... I wonder, will Steam work the same way when HL2 comes out? It would be easy to get it at store.. HA.

they are probably just slackers. i mean i have projects that come up that i could do in a day, but it takes a week to actually finish them. so by my standards the videos probably wont be done till a month from now. :dork:
 
oh yeah, and i officially declare this valve day. in remembrance each july 7th just sit home infront of your pc and do nothing. i don't count the july 1st comment since that was a blatant lie.
 
You people are seriously pissed at VALVe? After the first E3 video? Personally, I think if they need more time to add more stuff, or make the video better or higher quality, then take the time you need. Chill out.
