If it is true then for me personally (and probably no one else anyway) this will be bigger than max payne 3

I'm more interested in the ZOE series than MGS these days. Though I would certainly play through MGS4 if someone gifted me a PS3. College costs monies.

The first two Enders games were top class. I played the hell out of the demo that came with the first run copies of Sons of Liberty. Yeah, you know what I'm talking about. Good ****ing times. PS2 felt so pristine and Konami was such a ****ing class act.

By the way, anyone who liked ZoE should play the ZoE strat game on the GBA, get an emu or something.

MGS storylines are stupid, yes. But to me, that's part of the appeal. The story isn't supposed to be good, it's supposed to be ridiculous and awesome.

The gameplay... That's a different story.

Actually, I wouldn't call the plots stupid, just the presentation of them.

Anyone who wants to see what I mean, buy the MGS1 novel that came out in May 2008, written by a western professional writer, man, it is so much better than any MGS games when it comes to story presentation and such, makes you realize just how much better the MGS games could be with some proper writers.

Don't get me wrong I love Metal Gear Solid and Sons of Liberty -- played them both to death. You can bet if I had a PS3 I'd pick up MGS4, too. Just because the plots are stupid and cliched doesn't mean they aren't fun in all their ridiculousness. Hideo makes great products, he's really quite talented and good at what he does.
