No, things like that is called mood art, and it does.. well, what the name implies, it gives the artist's a vision of what kind of mood they need to interpetate in their own art. often things like this get done by the art director and act as the general guideline.

stuff like this isnt always done, so if you see a game that looks like its a combination of diffrent styles then you can already tell that the developers havent made their mood art


and dont forget to upload the "DOD:S" screenshot from the DOD:S phurchase steam page
