Overclocking the Pentium 4 520 (2.8GHz)

They were able to OC their 2.8GHz Prescott to 3.5GHz and it performs quite a bit better.

Although this comment keeps coming up through out the game section. "Not even our overclocked Pentium 4 can touch AMD's mid-range Athlon 64 processors"
I bet they would really like one 90nm A64 3000+ (S939). ;)

Power consumption at least isn't through the roof, still quite high through.
 
Since my question in the other thread hasnt been answered..is it wise to attempt an OC on stock mobo/ram/HSF I've got a 2.26ghz p4 right now.. just wondering if I should bother.
 
if you can, do. if you know what you're doing and you've read up on it, go for it. but make sure you're careful and monitor temperatures/check stability with prime95.
