Hi, I've been thinking of starting my own pc building business in my spare time. I would like to know if there is a website that will appraise the value of a pc.
Thanks

Pentium 3 500, Intel 400BX AGP mobo, 10 gig hdd, 128 mb pc100, linksys lan, d link wireless lan, tnt2 32 meg

they dont sell anything below a 1ghz pentium 3

Honestly: If the case is semi decent, it's probably the most valuable single thing. But really: Proc + mobo can't be more than 50 bucks. Tnt2.... wow, 10 bucks. It has lan, which is a +. 128 megs of ram = no Windows XP. Also, it's PC100, not even 133. 10 bucks. (PC133 is actually pretty damned expensive)

100 bucks is what it is 'worth' (I believe) but people are ignorant. You could probably get 200 or 300 out of it if you put a mouse, keyboard, and some cheap speakers. But the most hindering thing is the 128 megs of PC100 ram.

If you're starting a business tho which isnt a flea market based one why use such rubbish parts? Companies get parts at discounted prices so can still be pretty competative as long as the area isnt flooded with PC shops and you have the capital.

well everything was bought new, and at the cheapest prices i could find. Proc - $25, mobo - $30, ram - 30$, hdd - 30$, wireless lan - $40, the case was used for my pc (specs below) util i upgraded

How much do you think a celerson 1.7 GHz, onboard 32 meg video, 30 gig hdd, and 128 megs of pc2100 will sell for?

-Craig, this PC I'm selling is what i'm using to get a boost start. I can get the pc with the specs above for about $180. And I could probably sell it for about $400. Plus I'm doing all of my sellign on E-bay.

(as yuo can tell my normal PC is much better than these i'm selling)
