PC: The Witcher Enhanced Edition

Sorry for the bump but I have an answer to that question:

I found out that the Steam version is censored, as are all of the other online purchase options from what I can tell. US and Canada retail versions are censored and the European retail version is uncensored.

This game is TO ****ING LONG!!!! AHHHHH!!!!!

Anyway does anyone have a comparison of whats censored and whats not. Game is ****ing insane, i think i picked the wrong side :/

I haven't got it yet but want it bad. D:

Very little has been censored from what I hear. A couple of nude female character models are less nude than they were, a couple of the cards you get from sleeping with ladies have the nipples covered. I've also heard that there may be slightly fewer death animations in the censored one, sadly, but can't confirm that.

Certain blood and beheading is removed in US Version. The UK version is totally fine. Anyway, the problem can be easily fixed by replace the certain files of the game.

You can't pick a wrong side in the Witcher, as there is no clearly evil or clearly good side. Flaming Rose, Scoia'tael or neutral, by the way?

Ya ya i know, its just i wanted to be on the Scoia'tael side but Siegfeid was just a badass but i didn't want to support those Flaming Rose idiots. So the bank thing came along and im like **** it im going neutral. But then it FORCED me to choice im like ****! Sat there for like 15 mins thinking. I picked Flaming Rose just because i was scared about what would happen to Siegfeid, after that i realized if i was to pick scoia'tael, he might have joined along later. Im hoping i get to jump boat. Thats about where i am now.

Epic bumpage

Just finished the prologue / tutorial. Liking it so far. The combat is pretty fun; I like the variation on hack 'n' slash with the combos you need to make. The story is interesting too. No dilemmas yet but then again I just started the game.

The Witcher improves as it progresses, IMO. I was a little underwhelmed by the prologue, then frankly baffled by the opening to chapter 1, but from there on it starts to come together and build a nice momentum chapter on chapter. It's a steal at its current price.

I'm glad I still have the original version, just got to patch it up and no censoring for me xD Going to restart it again today :D

Yeah, I might have to get this soon.

So what's the deal? The UK version is uncensored?

Censorship is against my principles. Also, I like tits.

It would seem so.

According to Wikipedia at least;

Director's Cut
CD Projekt released a Director's Cut version of the game on 31 of July 2009, for the North American market. It is equal to the Enhanced Edition available to the rest of the world, but without the censorship applied to the North American version. For the moment it is only available online [e.g. Steam version].
