At 12:01AM PST I started Steam up and it took about 15 minutes to unlock HL2. Then it took 5 minutes to start up and for me to set settings and whatnot. Then I played until 3AM whilst mostly messing with the physics engine and getting beat by guards because I would throw boxs at them.

BTW I pre-loaded and bought online. I had no problems at all nor did any of my friends or anyone else I personally know. Some of you just have bad luck it seems like. =/

Exactly i bought retail had no troubles,my friend pre-loaded it had no problems.He unlock as soon as servers were up.
