WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!?
Eat your heart out Van_Halen.
Did they pick you correctly out of the lineup?
It's pretty decent in the summer most of the time.
Also the roads the NW200 goes along are amazing, smoothest most pristine tarmac I've ever seen
You lucky bugga, how'd that go mate?
Wonder how that'll go on a 600 sporty, good luck mate
I'd take a blackbird a squirt like that, was considering flogging off my racebike and buying a Zx14 for touring round the state.
As long as they're the best you can't buy and keep you upright how can ya go wrong? Got a pair of Michilin Pilot Powers dual compound on the blade, best pair of tyres for our climate. Good for country runs, nice even wear through it's life even through commuting. Get around 7000k to a pair. Cheaper alternative is throwing on a single compound 180 instead of a 190 and letting it wear down the hump in the middle in time with the outers. Being stingy costs ya though mate
Speaking of pathetic mate, saw a five year old Ducati at a meet the other night. I shit you not, 2000 odd k on the odo. What the ****?!
Yeah half of the blokes that hop back on end up flicking themselves off anyway (please note. this is not an actual statistic ), poor stupid bastards. A lot of blokes at the track spend a shitload of their own dough on their gear. Sponsors are the way to go though mate, forking out to put your bike on a jig + dyno aint cheap.
Kinda also breaks into the philosophy on tyres ya know, you're always riding on em, they're the only thing connecting you to the ground so you always buy above your pay packet. learnt the hard way, tried running on me old hortnet hard on stockies one day and ended up hitting the dirt pretty quick. Fun bike, but she's got some heavy 900 balls once she's broken in
Would love to ship a bike over and go touring across england sometime, just to get me head round another climate and some different roads. Oh, but to have a truckload of cash.
Moar.
