Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

I really, really liked it. Better than the first in my opinion.

The characters are all awesome.

God, I love the way he runs. It's fantastic.

I saw the movie last night. I really loved it. My only complaints are that it was a bit on the long side, and there were a lot of "WTF" moments... with some of the Davey Jones crew characters, and all those people with the candles at the end...
 
My girlfriend said she had bought the tickets and to meet her at the movie theater. So I drive like 20 miles to this mall way far away from my house, and I sprinted up to the theater after finding a parking space so I wouldn't be late. Then, since I couldn't find her anywhere, I reached for my phone...which I left in the car. So I sprinted back to my car, picked up my phone and read the text message, "Yeah, sorry I don't think I want to go. We'll see it tommorow"

WTF!?! She told me she was getting tickets early, and to meet her at the mall :frown:

oh well.
 
One reviewer interestingly pointed out that it's 5 minutes longer than 'Goodfellas'.

Who is the guy at the end? Is it that dude from the first movie? I forget... it's been bugging me all night and morning, lol.
 
Yeah it's the guy from the first movie.

Saw it today and thought it was awesome. Jack Sparrow was awesome again :D I love the way he runs and acts, though i do think some of the parts of this movie were trying to hard to be funny. Looks like we're getting a third in the series :)

I guess you think "Zorq" and "Eye of the Beholder" are overrated too because you didn't hear about them.

Will would have Davy Jones' heart instead of Norrington at th end? I was suprised acctually that Will didn't have it.

But yeah, saw it last night. Amazing movie. I wish it were a bit brighter at times, but it was awesome.
 
It was wonderful. Danimal, you've got to see the rest, because it really goes completely insane in the last 45 minutes - I'd say the film gets better as it goes on - so if you've only seen the first half you're only getting like a quarter of the experience.

There were a few moments where I literally couldn't pay any attention to the dialogue because I was laughing so much.

Such a poor film, yet another special effects bonanza with a small plot, spread out over many action sequances with cheesy acting.

And I can't even imagine where Johnny is coming from. Was he looking for Dickens or Citizen Kane?

Well, I just came back from seeing it.

Johnny Depp is just awesome. But I thought some bit were too long or too stupid. Like when the fruits were thrown and skewered on the bamboo pole tied to Sparrow... that scene makes me realize that the second movie lost some kind of the cachet from the first. Some scene were too ridiculously incongruous in my opinion.

Oh and Keira Knightley, she really can't act.

Overall, 7/10
 
Before people start getting on keira knightly and orlando bloom about how they can't act, I have official word that, somehow, out of pure coincidence, that actually every character they have ever played... never actually was meant to have a personality!
