Poject Offset Teaser - Need Clicks

No, no... the company didn't go under at all...
And the game wasn't horrible at all, it just had a couple of game-breaking bugs that got fixed in the later versions.

They're working on Savage 2 : Tortured Soul right now due to their connection to the fanbase and the high demands. :D
I didn't say the game was horrible - I just said it failed horribly due to those bugs. I thought it was pretty cool myself.

I know all the code isn't right in the source, but I expected there to be something to call the code up. That's how the counter works on my site. There are seperate files to do the actual process but I need to put a thing on the page I'm counting that calls the function.
Your counter is probably in Javascript, as I imagine it logs page loads rather than unique IPs, and security isn't an issue there.

I imagine that the counter is probably an automated server-side script. When an IP requests the page, it checks said IP against others logged to a database of IPs that have accessed the page. If there are no matches, the IP is added to the database, and a counter goes up by one. Then the script updates the end-user page.

i clicked with all my might. and, all this clicking is making me horny. GOGOGO CLICK MOAR! send out a chain letter or something.

Wrong. It is PHP and it does track IP and the user's previous URL (what they were linked from) as well as their browser, language, and other shit.

Oh, well, regardless, I don't know much about dynamic languages so I'm not sure why it displays raw code sometimes and just output other times, I assume it has to do with implementation.

Where's the counter on your page, I don't see one?

Lame. New pic, new empty bar. If that's the payoff then this is a huge disappointment. Just release the screenshots.

If you would look at your site in "View Source", you wont see any server side code of any kind. This would be there server side code that runs there counter. Same goes for your counter. The client only gets the source code for what the server sends them, not the actual file on the server.

That's the image, but you should really keep clicking the site! The bar is bigger now!

Yeah, I wish they would just release the screenies, but this keeps us all interested I suppose.

And that creature looks pretty cool. Reminds me of that one annoying enemy from the depths of Oblivion though--at least we get to make it our b1tch in this game and slap a saddle on his ace!!

I'm still wondering why it says "keep going" on the bottom of the page.

It's not on there anymore. I took it off when my site got linked from Qwantz and it got a bazillion hits, the file that stored all the logs got too big and it sort of crashed the counter.

Ewww, what kind of script were you using? You should have been using a database.

Probably just to just encourage us to keep clicking away and generating interest in the game. Neat little "hidden" message though. :E

That's a snippit from the code of the site. What do the 0's and 1's mean? EDIT: Isn't it Binary, if so, what does it stand for?
