Goddamnet I love him. Got 5 badges, but my wifi is down (haven't DSed in a while). A shitload of questions/comments.

1) At what level does Magikarp evolve?
2) Can pokemon evolve while in daycare/does day care interfere with evolution at all?
3) Is there ever any way to forget an HM? I was getting impatient so I just taught Grotle cut and rock smash without even remembering HMs were permanent. I really need to figure out how to get rid of them.
4) Does capturing all the Unown do anything, or is just a way to pass the time for the OCD like myself?
5) What the **** is with defog? Why can Scyther do that but not ****ing fly. Shit pissed me off man.

Currently have a level 48 Torterra and 39 Rotom. I have 20ish Scyther and Kadabra along with me to help with capturing and HMs and shit.

My brother wants this for his birthday next month (he's turning 11). I told him I'm getting him a different DS game (The World Ends with You). He still wants my parents to get him Platinum but he was being reasonable when I told him that he's already got enough pokemon crap and that its impossible to catch'm all because they keep making up new ones. If you've got the experience of the latest one which he does/has (w/e the shit that came out before Platinum), he's had enough Pokemon for one childhood. (Srsly, Fire Red, Gold which was mine, Sapphire, Emerald).

1) Level 20
2) Nope, you have to then raise them one more level by yourself to evolve them.
3) No way to get rid of HMs. I always have a Pokemon that is the equivalent of a cum-sponge that basically learns all the HMs. A useful one in this generation is Buizel.
4) OCD ftw! They gave you a separate Pokedex add-on in G/S/C to catch-em-all but not sure they do in D/P/P.
5) Defog? Never heard of it. Sounds crap.

If I was your younger brother, I would hate you. He doesn't even have a game from the new generation. You are depriving him of a game I played for over 150 hours over the course of about 3 weeks a couple of years ago.

Oh he has Diamond too, so yeah he does have the newest gen crap. He told me himself there's only going to be so much difference between that and Plat so I figured I'd tell him the difference between Blue/Red and Yellow.

I stayed happy till gold. I happened to play Ruby and Emerald and thats where I pretty much gave it up. I did play to the end but its just the Lugia story again.

There's a guy in uh... Iron Island or something? The one at the far left of Sinnoh. The house at the top right of that town has an old man who lets any Pokemon forget any move, even HMs.

^Yeah, just found him earlier (Canalave city?), finally got my Torterra decent again. Does anyone know where that guy who'll teach old moves to your pokemon for heart scales is? I saw him earlier but now I can't find him at all.

Also, any tips for Safari? I've always hated it, I can't ever seem to get anything.
