Yes you are paranoid. But I say this topic must be cleaned of all pages and then make another with a summary on the first page.

The UIN says it's case-sensitive. Perhaps you can somehow copy the UIN and paste it when it asks for it. I'm not sure how much information people have gotten through decompiling the swf, or even how much is possible with shockwave, but is it possible to require key combinations to do certain things? If so, a key combination might be required to allow highlighting and copying the UIN.
 
hi i'm new and i've read up to page 7 lol and don't intend to read anymore....

so i get the fact that you guys have found:

the flashing cakes

the final page with the hacked message and video feed

thecakeisalie

the little list

and that's it....i don't wanna read 27 more pages lol because they basically say the same thing but is there anything new? New pages, puzzles, riddles?

Well, when I played Portal, cake was always mentioned as the food sense... For example, the computer told me "Complete this puzzle and get some cake!"

Unfortunately, the b*tch lied to me and I didn't get any cake. :(

What Bdae is saying is just what I said in an earlier post too: there are clues in the swf that lead us to the next website. Here's an example:
One page might say something about cake and another might say something about mathematicians so you go to the url "http://www.cakeliessoeatpi.com/" or something stupid like that. Get it? It isn't spelled out in the swf so we have to figure it out on our own. This is the only logical step from here without Valve actually shoving the next step down our throats.

But there are 50, fifty!, absurd questions and it would be impossible to figure the right path without Valve actually shoving the next step down our throats. shoving the next step in our throats may be flashing additional letters or words in v.1.08.
 
I tried thecakeisalie.com a long while back, thinking maybe they registered that one as well, but it turns out, some domain placeholder company bought it the day after this thread was created (I think..)

Not sure if this has been said before but you can type IP just after login and that gives you the same string Uni(+L).
Maybe it directs to another link someshow?
Dang you VALVe we need another carrot so we follow it around please!

The thread will go on and on without any new thing actually happening. This thread ought to be closed IMO. When something does actually happen, it shouldn't be the case that new comers have to wade through 36 pages of this crap.

And in the Katrina disaster the mayor from Louisiana wanted to call in the National Guard because 10-14 people had been killed in a month, and there was public outcry to that. We who go to war once in a blue moon 10 is quite a bunch.
 
10 people die in war today.....we call it a lot.
People use to die by thousands if not tens of thousands in previous wars in a day. 10 people is not a lot.
 
Indeed..WW2. More people died on D-Day (1 Day) than have died in the past ~4 years in the War on Terror...

In the U.S. Civil War 51,112 people died in a 3 day battle.
24,645 died in a single day at Stone's River.

10 is not a lot.

We are also not saying more people died in a World War than todays conflicts. Where saying more people died in a single day in a World War than today's conflicts as a whole.

someone should just delete this thread and make a sticky of all the things that have been found so far, and just update it if anything else has been found. I don't like the fact of looking through 50 pages of the same repetitive information (I did however look through every single one of these pages - how sad :() and ending up with the same thing, it can be shortened and blam there we have it. Hehe, this thread is just a waste of time anyways - unless something new can be found.

Recall the recent HL2 ep2 videos released by valve, then recall the scene where the G-Man is standing over a sleeping Alex.
That bed in the relaxition chamber could be where she is.

In other words:
The G-Man and Aperture Science are very closely linked...

Here are some points to consider, in point form:
1) The G-Man possesses advanced Portal Technology
2) Aperture science seems interested in people with elite intellegence and survival skills, people such as Gordon Freeman.
3) The relaxiation chamber has no doors, ie access only by portal and you could argue that they are statis chambers.

So my theory:
The G-Man and Aperture science are some sort of agency, looking for elite people for 'jobs'. The testing is deadly so only the best make it. The portal gun is nothing more then an intellegence test for the recruits as aperture is capable of making portals without it (as the G-Man shows). The G-Man hired gordon outside of the Aperture testing as he displayed all the qualities they test for. Gordon was brought to the facility (which is obviously well hidden) and remained there in statis until he was required.

That....is an awesome theory, and one which I believe will be very close to what actually is happening in regard to the G-Man.
