Portal Mod-->Help Wanted

I've been working on a Portal Modification for some time now, more in concept than in actual work. Beginning work is essentially done and now I want to move into pre-production.

At the moment, to get things off the ground, I am looking for DEDICATED mappers, concept artists, and modelers. The way I like to work is to take less defined roles in design. I believe that creativity needs to be present in every aspect of the design, and I encourage team members to question, criticize, and suggest ideas and works of the artists they will be working with.

The actual premise of the mod, most of which I want to keep under wraps, is dark. Portal took a very comedic tone throughout the game, and while I enjoyed it, I would like to create a game that is more serious, provocative, but at the same time have some humor present, despite the serious nature. The mod would tie directly into the Portal story line, and my hope is to have the mod completed by December or January.

People have told me I should just make a map pack, which is really what this is. It's a map pack with a story that strongly ties in with the Portal story line.

How far do the concepts you already have extend? Do you have ideas for puzzles or just plot points?

Does the mod require custom art assets or will it use the existing Portal tileset?

The answers to these questions will determine (realistically) if you are going to hit that December/January deadline. They're also the sorts of questions I'd be asking if I was thinking of getting involved.

I have plot points and layouts for about 5 test chambers. In terms of art that needs to be done, I require a few props (about 10 new ones and some revisions of old ones), character modeling, and a few new particle effects. I'm in talks with a few people now and I hope to have something set in stone in the next week.
