Possiblity: Human evolution is getting faster

I doubt that people will get very different though, as human integration grows all the time.
 
Evolution is constant everywhere except for America, where incest is forcing evolution to go backwards.

I don't see how we can be evolving faster since we've removed 90% of selective pressures via civilisation, medicine and technology...
 
I chanced a glance upon the title of a particularly innocuous thread, odd considering the myriad of idiotic topics to recently glance the broad shoulder of what was once the glorious Republic of Half Life 2.net.

Putting my now unused reservations aside, my mind, now free to spawn and toy upon its own idiotic ideals, wrought forth upon itself a quick addendum...

"About time..."

But alas, upon entering what I hoped to become a haven for my cynicism, it had turned only to be a vast expanse of nothingness which gnawed at my heels to wait for that nothingness that panged me to return to sweet articulation. It was merely perchance that the topic of which my mind toiled had disappeared into the dark abyss of idiocy colloquially referred to as the "internet".

Yet I bore neither the time nor the patience to wait for the ownership of said topic to come upon his err, as that in itself may have been merely perchance. I gathered my reservations, reworked my mind into an eddy of despair, and strove on...

I wouldgo to the effort of writing a long essay as to why this article is BS, but I'll just save myself the trouble of writing and you the trouble of reading by saying:

1) Trust me.

2) Read up on evolution and biological science for yourself if you don't.

3) The article is bullshit.

No, Darwin was just coerced by the Devil...he repented before his death when he saw the errors of his ways and said that evolution wasn't real.

Thats why the good Christian warriors are fighting as we speak to remove the Devils teachings on "evolution" and have them replaced by a much more sensible and much more realistic theory, the theory of Intelligent Design.

And it's not so good with the whole support yet. I still need a few more generations to work on that. It's getting there though :p

Seriously though, if loads of people on say Africa are living very hard lives opposed to us westerners there would be more competing to survive, hence speeding up the natural selection process. The blacks are going to evolve eye lasers soon... and theyre going to be pissed....

Guess what, evolution is a scientific fact, the vast consencous of scientists agree its true. When the majority of scientists agree that intelligent design is the truth I'll believe.

Though of course, I hope I'm long dead by then, because humanity will be definatly be screwed.

Most "Creation scientists (though I loath using the term since they do not obey the scientific method)" only have a degree in creation science because they are too stupid to get another degree.

Ignorance has never been so plain. The idea of darwinism is that there isn't a designer. If you can't comprehend the idea of their not bieng a god, then it shows how brainwashed you are. Not only that, ID raises problems of its own - Who created the designer?

I love how you crazy little silly cultists aim all your attacks at one dead man, its awesome. Its like, The scientific and Atheistic minded masses don't need to lift a finger in defense, because your attacking the memory of a dead man, and totally missing the point.


NO-ONE in the scientific and atheistic "establishment" takes the opinion of a single man as fact like many Christians do. Most Atheists and scientists, get this, made their own mind up long ago using reason, logic, fact and proof.


That is why all currently held scientific theory's and formula's that are considered "the truth" needed to get past peer review first.

By all means, attack Darwin, continue to make yourselves look as dumbshit as your faith has always made you, attacking a mans credibility based on a supposed deathbed conversion hardly invalidates fact.

That seems strange. I mean, people have children at a later age than they used to, meaning it's a longer time between generations, and therefore takes longer for a species to change their genes.
