Post a Screenshot of Your Character thread

Glass armour reminds me of the Elites from Halo.

Oh, Mr Reduntant, you get the boots from doing a quest for the Aragonian twins in DB.

Damn, I can't get it to work. I copied the command into oblivion.ini, but I can't paste the photos onto PS. I guess it's just not taking them at all... :/

Mr. Redundant, your guy looks like the punisher with that necro robe on lol, you should get a plain black robe, they look way better.

Edit the oblivion.ini in the "...\My Documents\My Games\Oblivion\" folder, not the one in the install folder.

I had the same problem, editing the line in the oblivion.ini file didn't work. Just download fraps, you can take all the screenshots you want.

Spoilers? Maybe, I dunno....just don't look at his head.. <_<

Here is a picture of me finally, with my beatiful blocky terrain in the background :) . All Daedric armor, Umbra sword. I'll take some better pics of myself later.

I don't know who has enough time to legitametly collect, transport, and sell that much stuff. No offense, but cheating/exploits don't impress me. Also, it seems that the yellow mess on your screenshots is not completly random.

No offense but I really dont care what you think.

You obviously do or you wouldn't have bothered drawing on your screenshots and circling how much money you have.

Just started playing the game. Here is my character, nothing special, but unusual looking for a redguard don't you think? Also, note that my CPU and GPU aren't even supported by Oblivion and I have to use custom shaders made by some dude named Asp.

I put a pimped out shirt on because it looks more interesting than a rusty iron curiass.

I'd hit it.

Reminds me of a retarted looking citizen model for Half-Life 2 that used to get posted here.

Where is that picture?

Haha, I'll get a screen of mine later but I want to add that one of my brother's character looks exactly like Keanu Reeves, and my other brother's character looks like Clive Owen

LMFAO. Steven, I can't believe you made it all the way out of the sewer with that 'experiment'. Thats a radiation test experiment half-breed between Man and Argonian lizard.

Start a freaky-looking character screenshot thread and I'll make a couple.

My second char (quite good-looking compared to most females in Oblivion IMHO):

Monkey, go to C:\Documents and Settings\yourname\my games\oblivion\oblivion.ini and change bAllowScreenshots to 1. Then use PrintScreen.

ANd how did you get on that chapel? noclip?

No cheats or exploits. :) It's the chapel in Cheydinhal. I got there jumping on the house in the first screenshot (it also has a lower roof from which you can jump to the higher one) and then walked on the roof to a spot close enough to the chapel so I could make the jump. Well, it's probably useless to explain it like that, so you've got to try it out for yourself. Maybe I'll record a vid later.

My level 8 Brenton Knight, Eliedon. Started him last week but really haven't had much time to play since then.

Where'd you get all those rings from?

Random loot containers. The Base Ring of Retribution (reflects 8% of damage) I got off some guy in the Mythic Dawn place where the dude gets away with the amulate dealio.

Do assasins suck in this game? How come it looks like everyone is a warrior. I made a tiger assasin guy(birth sign theif), im still a super noob but im not sure how to keep my health up, healing potions cost a crap load, and I dont know any other way to heal myself, not to mention I take mass damage with leather gear on. I will edit with a pic shortly. eVGA 7800GT 1280 / 1024 resolution

They don't suck, assassin type characters are just made for different purposes and playing styles. They do a shit load of damage if you get behind the enemy without being caught. I would have kept my thief, but I got impatient and rolled a warrior that uses light armor and concentrates on Strength and Speed, a la the barbarian class.

I built a heavy armored tank (warrior) with intelligence and wisdom, so as I can heal myself. Its free! Unlike your health, magic comes back quickly, so you don't need to drink magic potions unless you are in battle. So learn restoration!

Sure, I could have had 100 str and endurance by now but instead I have 90 each and have like 65 luck (thief sign +10 luck and favorite attribute luck +5 ;) )and intelligence and wisdom getting pretty high so I have about 200 health potions in my house, and I very rarely need them. Level 22 now. I'm self-sufficient where I can constantly battle and never go down. Ever see two level 60 paladins fighting eachother for hours in WoW? They can't be taken down unless someone has immense damage power. They heal themselves, and over time, their magic came back enough to heal again, Plus with strength of 90 so far, and expert blade, I deal hard damage. But there is no one way to go. I went this way because this is the character I wanted to play before I bought the game.

I recommend learning everything you can. dont pay anybody shit unless you are desperate. fix your armor, make your potions, find your gear. Buy only spells (and health potion since you say you need them.) Everything else you can find right?

join the mages guild and you can make your potions free with grass and weeds and sticks and shit. Just click on the mortar and pestle and mix everything like you dont' care and you will get smart. then you can heal yourself alot. (resoration gets awesome at journeyman) once you join the guilds, you can basically travel to every town, go inside and loot almost everything in there and sell it. They don't mind.

Additionally, the game is a little tough until your character starts to heavily develop the essential skills that you picked. Plains of oblivion are harder even, I guess. Right now you are just a target dummy for the deadra. A paper hero.

Nah, you just gotta play differnently with them. It's allot more fun if you ask me :D

I made a sneaky ninja thief Khajit dude (like yours), and what I do is, if I can't sneak up behind them (massive damage, 6x), then i'll jump up into the rafters and run around a bit, before I can drop down ontop of their face.

Slash 'em up abit, and if the fight doesn't end there, then I dash back up to the rafters, recoup, and drop back down on him.

Lots of fun :D

Although i'm using Light armor like Chainmail gloves and pantaloons, not too much leather. I'm only LVL4 and haven't found much nice leather stuff.

Try to get your acrobat, athleticism, and light armor fun. Flying through the air like batman is PWNAGE!!!

Oh, and my Khajit heals himself with this weak rejuvenation spell he started out with.

I'm thief sign, acrobat for that whole profession thing.

Oh unlike you, I just use a sword. I don't see the point in daggers. They're allot lighter, but do WAY less damage. Not worth it if you ask me. I also keep a shield handy.

My assassin never uses sheilds, and I always manage to just find healing pots around. However I don't use any armour at all, since I just have the:

*SPOILERS I THINK *

Black Hand Robes

They're nice, but I still prefer the leather outfit you get in the beginning ;) You lose like +4 to all those sneaky char stats, but you've got armor and I think it overall looks better for an assasin ;]

BTW, the assasin/thief I made, I'm using only for the DB/Thieves Guild quests, but i guess fightning all the deadra in bigger battles of the main quest could be tough for a sneaky char.

Oh, and I managed to get even higher - this time in Anvil ;) It gets glitchy though, as you can see.
