How do you put up with that angsty slapper as a companion without blowing her into small chunks? I dismembered her in her sleep after she cheated on me with my dog.

Also - what is this Thermonuclear Missile Launcher (of death) and where do I get one?

Also - Did nobody else disarm the Megaton bomb instead of blowing it up?

Also - Am I the only one on earth who actually thought Tenpenny was an OK guy?

Hey Blackthorn, do you find you're constantly low on health and ammo? Or is it just me that goes through that. Oh, and constantly low on caps too.

Well the character I'm using there is my level 20 one with shitloads of everything. Like many RPGs, you go through struggling for around half the game then hit the point where you kill things easily and become overwhelmed with loot. I prefer the periods of scarcity myself, as fun as it so wipe everything out with ease. Also with this character I focused on stealth, so I tended to do a lot of stealth kills which kept my ammo supplies up. Caps I tend to be quite short on, but then again I don't really spend many so it's not much of an issue. I recommend getting a companion (Fawkes FTW) so you can unload any extraneous and heavy loot on them to sell for later, by then it's smooth sailing.

Yay my first bug. Immersion killer, but interesting nevertheless. Also, whoever designed that backwards left hand should've been fired.

Gotta say in some places the detail is phenomenally good... Still a shame there are no shadows though. Makes it all look kinda flat.

Also, I strangely don't miss dynamic shadows at all. Before playing the game, I expected it to be a severe visual limitation, but I find too often that ugly, pixelated shadows can detract from immersion in many games. The quality of the specularity and bump mapping on the textures makes the world look fantastic regardless of the lack of dynamic shadows. Perhaps some static shadowing, such as the fantastic examples seen in The Witcher, would've been welcome, but I was surprised at how many times I'd be astounded by the visuals in Fallout 3 despite the limitations of the engine.

only played the very beginning of it, having borrowed it from a friend, but just coulnd't get into it after having played morrowind. I was thinking it might have been NWN but seemed to recall it was better looking than those shots.

DF:LW was the first games I played extensively on my 56k. Played it for around 2 years and loved every single minute. My weapon of choice was the G11.

The below screen shot is from a mod I made & uploaded for Fallout 3 yesterday called "Fiero" which is a weapon mod based around a Powerfist. I'm brand spanking new to GECK & so my work is rough, like a bull in a china shop. God I love Fallout 3 though...

Avcon http://www.avcon.org.au/site/ held Cosplay on the second day and I swear to god I wanted to kill the guy hosting it. The microphone made him sound like a little girl and he wouldn't shut up. Avcon itself is a nightmare when you have these kinds of people

Any good? I heard they made changes to the combat or something, which I guess was people's main complaint about it on release. That or that it just sucked, I don't really remember. People were so excited for it before it came out, too... that and Conan.
