on the 29th of september, i plan to go out and buy lots of supplies, including food fresh water and other neccesecities. I then intend the make my basement suitable to live in and I wil move my refregerator down there as well as a few beds.

The reason for this is that i beleive post 30th of september is going to be total anarchy, wherever you are ( well maybe not). Either its realised and the world goes insane from hapiness or its not and everyone gets very mad.

What are you're plans for post 30th of september?

we'll be safe, its the forums that wont be. hopefully the mods will only leave one thread open for ranting
 
if its delayed there will be a flood of "HAHAHAHA ITS DEYALYED LOSERS" threads, if its released there will be a flood of spoiler, i got my hl2, ect ect. Eitherway sept 30 will be bad here.
 
On the 30th... I'll either be playing HL2...

Or Otogi, Soul Calibur 2 and Knights of the Old Republic...
 
Sadly i normally work on wednesdays(my day off collage), so i will likely not get much chance to play it until the weekend.

However, friday night im gonna get lots of crapy to fill up on. But on saturday, again i will bw working :( So hopefully i will be ok on sunday (Although sometimes i have to work then as well.
 
Get a SPAS Shotgun with a couple of dozens of 12Gauge ammo, i'll renew my Soldier of Fortune subscription, I'll buy 50 sandsacks from the US Naval Reserves, move down into my basement and get some support beams down there to hold up the basement ceiling, and stock up on food supplies and stack them all into a couple of freezers which i plug in down in the basement, i'll fill in the basement window with concrete cement, move down the TV, put a fake ventilation going straight up in the sky from the roof to put my satellite reciever for protection inside it , and hide some landmines in the lawn and put out some warning signs and such. When the day comes, i'll get outta my basement at 12 in the night and go on a killing spree , probably go with a couple of friends in a hunting club to do an organised attack on Valve HQ. We'll put some C4 under Laidlaw's chair. Stuff like that , nothin special.
 
either realy not payaing attention at work due to my copy of Hl2 sitting waiting for me.....

or not paying attention at work cos my computer got hurled out of the window in a blind fit of rage.
 
Call me a Noob but do Moderators get paid?... If not how do they spend so much time in here?

alot of them don't man... but i think some done. remember GUNMAN CHRONICLES (spelling) was a MOD at first. now people can buy it. so i think them ppl who made that got paid.

can someone tell me what of the people that don't intend to buy it on steam? do they still get the massive game cache downloaded?
 
dude buying a game on-line and downloading it is rediculous..

AND THIS IS HALF-LIFE 2.. 60% of the people who are going to buy this game, NEVER PAY FOR A GAME.. i being one of them, i crack everygame i own, ACCEPT half-life which i've bought 3 times.

when hl2 comes out, I WANT TO BUY IT. not get it through a transaction on-line and 'download it' i 'download' all my games for free, it jsut doesn't seem right to do that with hl2, even if i am paying... i want to go to a STORE and give them CASH and take home a BOX and open the CASE and pop in the CD and read the MANUAL and look at the PICTURES on the BOX and the CD and teh MANUAL.

I know some modders get paid...usually when their fan game is good enough to stand alone and they are picked up by a publisher.

But moderators don't, unless they run a site that makes money off of its ads or products (which most don't).

yes!!

i mean i like pre-ordering sometimes. but you have to wait for the day after release for it to be at ya house!

when you buy it from a shop, you give them the money for the game and some change bk (1p maybe) lol. and you get a box put in a bag to take home. and it just feels right

i make a point of buying the good games legit

Like

Half life

Medieval total war

Rise of nations

Battlefield 1942

etc.


but i do sometimes just pick up a pirated cd or two from the "Barras" if its not multiplayer and i havent realy studied it.

like

black and white

lots of strategy games etc.

I download some games...but I buy the really good ones....I felt bad playing through mafia and not buying it...but I just didn't have the money (I'm 15...no job...so...). It's just I don't want to buy games that I only play for 3 days....

Buy good games, online only games I wana try, and some by small companies I wanna try.

Download those that i kinda wanna try but wouldn't buy otherwise. i.e sports games made by big coporate bastards.

It's not like anyone is losing any money, as I wouldn't buy any of the games i download. So don't give me that "we pay for your games too then man" bullshit.
 
Well someone has to buy them before they are put up on P2p networks. So someone, somwhere, did pay for your game. Unless it was leaked by a disgruntled employee somewhere down the line.

thast cool with me man, you keep buying the games i'm downloading.. and you keep buying the cd's i'm downloading, and will al be one big happy family.
