Ah the 636. Probably the best Kwaka engine ever. How goes it brodad, been a looooong time! Still hitting the trails round Devon?
Yeah, all good. It's been bloody ages, where have you been?
Aye it's the good half of the year again so making the most of it.
Went to Wales a couple of weeks ago. The UK rocks for biking (the hilly and mountainous western half of it anyway). The whole of Wales is basically like a playground for bikers.
Me current ride.
Blackbird?
You'll deffo like this if you're a fan of Trumpies. A mates bike.
Yup, they is nice. I considered getting a Street Triple last time I was in the market for a bike, but ten minutes on the motorway was enough to convince me otherwise. The windblast was trying to pull my helmet off my head and turned the straps on the arms of my jacket into a torniquet, even at 75-80mph. I found it quite hard work in general above 60 and I got a lot colder riding it aswell due to the lack of anything to hide behind. Also it's virtually impossible to carry any luggage on the thing.
A hell of a lot of fun to chuck around on B-roads, it's a seriously capable piece of kit if you've never ridden one. Perfectly engineered, handling, power delivery and brakes are all amazing.
If I had the money to keep a few bikes, I'd definitely have one in the garage. But too many downsides for me. Next time I swap it'll probably be for a Triumph 675 (the proper sportsbike version) or a GSXR750.
By the way, I'm gonna be in/around Sydney for a month over Christmas. You're way over the other side aren't you?
