Post Your GTA IV Stories

Anybody notice that on certain roads (mainly the freeway in Algonquin) have invisible wall that nearly total your car?
 
So I managed to jack an LCPD Patriot and get away from my stars. I drove back to the second safehouse you get (Bohan, right?) and parked it in the space for you cars. I was done playing so I saved the game. Next time I played I went down, and just outside of the apartment a cop had a criminal at gunpoint. The crook had his hands up and the cop was spouting off the usual "Don't move" stuff at him with his gun raised. This is right out near the Patriot. I watched as the criminal walked over to the Patriot, opened the door, and got in the backseat. Next the cop goes over and hops in the driver's seat, starts it up and drives away! He stole my Patriot. I was really confused as to what happened but oh well, just more entertaining stuff from GTA4.
 
So I got 100% completion last night at work...and nothing seemed to happen. I looked online and all I can find is that the ammo carry limit for each weapon is removed and there's some annihilator with rockets or something :(

Kind of disappointing compared to the 100% rewards in Vice City.

DO the rockets have a targeting system?? I really hate the machine guns on the annihilator.

Aww that's pretty ghey. The bodyguards in VC were so much fun to have. :(
 
shot someone with a shotgun and he stumbled backwards, fell backward over a rail and fell two stories down :O

straight out of a movie.
 
Of couple of my friends and I held off 6 Stars in the middle of Times Square using just the RPG spawn, then drove away in 3 Infernus's:thumbs:
 
I tried to enjoy playing it after a month of watching it collect dust.
Its just too boring with the missions out of the way.
 
Today I learned about a hidden, rare car in GTA IV - the Sultan RS. So I went to the location where it spawns, stole it and happily drove it around feeling special, until I saw lots of these cars in different colors on the streets. I know it's a common 'feature' of GTA, that you often see the type of car you're driving on the streets, but now it was so blatant I found it ridiculous. Probably because it's a car that doesn't normally show up so suddenly seeing them all around was kinda weird.
 
I just love playing around with the physics, so my favorite thing to do is hop on my previously stored Sanchez, drive to Star Junction, going around 70-80 mph, then jump out and an oncoming car.
Niko will attempt to jump out, but the handlebars will clip his legs from the impact of the car, then he'll fly out, do like 50 front flips, and land on another car or ped, and only lose a bit of health. This is all while grabbing lots of air.

Same thing irked me, too. I got one and then put it at one of my safehouses, then noticed that it respawns, so I've got all my houses stocked with 2 of them. :)
 
Ha, the great thing about this game is, as many before noticed, the fact that you discover new stuff or find new things to have fun with even after you've played the game for some time.

Yesterday I crashed my bike into something and had Niko fly off it and crash into a wall which as usually looked hilarious. But I LOLed when he got up and in a monotonous voice said "not funny". :D

Also Niko calling for a Taxi while drunk always gets me to laugh. "Taaa-xiii!", "Taxi cab!" are great, but "Yellow car!" takes the cake. :E

And someone here mentioned they were cracking up at the ice cream van playing music faster the faster you go. I didn't know about that before, so I found one near the park and drove around in it, discovering it has like 5 different tunes. The next hour or so was spent on driving around the park in the van, with the windshield camera on, plowing through the poor pedastrians strolling in the park. An ice cream truck coated in blood playing a creepy tune and running over people is a priceless view.

So much fun.
 
Me and shamrock with a 4 star wanted level in a bus with 4 popped tires getting to the airport.
 
The first time I watched the Pisswasser beer commercial, I thought I was going to spilt my sides laughing. The first two lines, "~Last night I shit the bed~, got so drunk I gave a dude head,". Surely was a jab at the Budwesier beer theme song fs.

Oh yeah, driving the ice cream truck for the first time was gold. :LOL: The music speeds up and slows down according to speed and distorts when crashing. That shit was funny.

Fun thing to do, pull in front of any motorist, get out, equip assault rifle, open fire on driver. Watch them duck while trying to reverse, and the blood splatter on the windscreen. Awesome stuff.
 
In free roam I got a very fast car and my friend was flying a helicopter over a jump so I took the jump, bailed out of my car in mid air, and grabbed the bottom of the helicopter. It was so damn epic.

Wow, I thought grabbing on to the chopper was an entirely scripted sequence in that part in SP.
 
It's do-able if you're lucky. I did the same thing with a motorbike. I drove, bailed then grabbed on to a heli.
 
Haha, LOLed today when I was watching my brother playing. He shot an M4 burst at someone who fell to the ground, but was still alive, trying to get up, as my brother ran up to him, aiming to finish him off, when Niko said in a cheerfuly-sarcastic voice "Hello! How are you doing?" :LOL:
 
A friend of mine and I went into the Party Mode free roam, took two Black Hawks and had a dogfight. His chopper lost the tail to a spray of bullets and spun for 10 minutes before he bailed. Then we flew out to the airport and drag raced down one runway that ends with a ramp, if your going the right speed, you'll land on a barge a few feet away.
