I haven't seen a thread like this yet, so I thought it would be interesting to put up. Post what your FPS score was including your system specs.

I think in the beta I got around 60FPS at 1024x768 high, but my in-game graphics were about 30-40. :(

2500+ Athlon XP
1GB PC2700 RAM
9800 Pro 128MB

Wow, really? I have almost the exact same comp as you do (XTPE, FX-53 socket 939, same mobo, we only differ on hard drive and sound card really). When I run it at those settings I only get 79 fps (and that's with my card OC'd to 550/560). So, what's your secret?

1280x960 Max gfx, no AA or AF - 85 FPS
P4 3.2, 9800 pro, 512mb Ram

i don't think hes running full AF and AA. because your score is about right according to numerous benchmarks.

Erm what AA/AF you running that seems a little low.

I get ~104 at 1600 x 1200 no AA 8xAF

my specs

AXP 2500+ at 200 x 12.5 (2.5Ghz)
Soltek SL75 FRN2-RL
1Gig Ram
6800 GT @ 420/1.1

When I ran the test, I set it to 6xAA and 16xAF since the guy I quoted said it was "maxed", I figured that's what he meant. :p Without AA and using trilinear at 16x12 I get ~100 fps.

liar liar pants on fire...

how about a screenshot because no benchmark on any website gets that high, or any person for that matter. your theoretical score almost doubles them.

haha. well what do you expect? your score doesn't line up with all the reputable hardware sites' benchmarks.

yea thats it.

or... :stare:

You probably should've left it at your first post. ;) Because not only are you getting ~75% more FPS than someone with nearly identcal specs, but you're also using a level of AA that doesn't even exist on current radeon cards. :)

I may get myself banned for this but exactly which mod is smoking crack? I mean this is a VST results thread, and you move it to steam discussion and support? What has the VST to do with steam more than Half-Life2?!

The VST is the Video Stress Test, for the Source engine, the engine Half-Life2 runs on. People interested in Half-Life2 may just want to know how systems comparable to theirs run in this engine. Hence the thread. If it were the Steam Stress Test, then the move would make sense, but yeah.

81.76 fps

2.4ghz
1gb RAM
GeForce Fx5800 with latest drivers
All settings on max :O

106.78fps

P4 2.4 @3.06

Geforce 6800 GT @ 425/1200
240 GB IDE SATA RAID
Audigy 2

1280 by 1024 max settings (monitor sync off) 4 aa 8 af

Hihi

After the great test, I got an average score of 96.6 fps.

I put everthing as high as it could... including anti aliasing and anistrophic filtering...

I have 2800 Ghz, 512 MbRam, P4P 800 Mainboard and... :naughty: Geforce 6800!

So everything went very, very well! :)

Just ignore guinny, he just wants to strut his e-penis around.

By the way there's already a thread on this, 7hor next time use the search!

System specs:
Athlon XP 2600+ (1.9 GHz)
Geforce FX 5700 Ultra 128MB
768MB PC3200 RAM

Video settings:
1024x768, all settings high, water reflects all, no AA/AF

Stress test results:
I got 60 FPS with Vsync disabled and 40 FPS with it enabled. Not sure why enabling Vsync eats 20 frames per second, but I really can't stand the horizontal tearing that happens when it's turned off.
