Holy crap, this game is said to be three times as long as The Sands of Time and has more replay value, a challenging last boss, a less linear gameplay (it does have backtracking which may suck, but might be somewhat fun because you're backtracking back in time and etc...).
I must have this game.

Ah yeah, been waiting for that one.
wow, 3 times as long! Great, thought The Sands of Time was too a bit short and easy, but otherwise a superb game!!

It got 7/10 in the recent Edge. It sounds good, but not as good as the original (which got 9/10)

I'm sure plenty of ppl will prefer the new look though.

It got 8.6 at IGN, which is rather shocking!

IGN is biased. I'm waiting for Gamespot's review. It's doing good according to www.metacritic.com, where they get the average percent of all the review sites. The XBox is getting an 87 which is good seeing as the stupid retard, the Edge has given 70 to all of the consoles. Those sons of bitches...
:hmph:
I'm sure this game will be a lot better than Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.
The way I see it, it can only get better.
A better combat system, more length, more replay value, each console has more better specific features, more gore, and better graphics. The main thing idiots have been bitching about is the music.
Appearently, it isn't 'Persian' anymore. As if that really mattered. If people paid any attention to the game, you're not in Persia anymore.
And the lack of puzzles is also a concern, but it's still good.
This game will rock.

Jordan Mechner made a wise choice in letting Ubisoft have the IP -- Loved Sands of Time and i'm looking forward to Warrior Within.

The Edge sucks. They review it on one console and they give 70 to all of the consoles. Now, those pussies brought down the average of Prince of Persia: Warrior Within (visit www.metacritic.com).
The Edge's review is Warrior Within's only negative review.
Not that I care...from what I know, it's a kick-ass game and a lot of gamers are giving it positive reviews (usually from people who have played the leaked version).
And I went to EB Games to have my games evaluated. Unreal Tournament 2004=$9.
:|
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time=$10
Jedi Academy=$5
I think I'll just buy the game with my own money at Future Shop.

I thought it was strange how they mentioned that players were not really in touch with the prince. One of my favourite things in Sands of Time was the Prince talking to himself.

my big problem with PoP SoT was the rediculously boring and repetitive fighting... It was such a chore to break from the puzzle solving and acrobatics to kill monsters...

I hope things change in this.. Although I still like my puzzles

You play it on console or pc?

The fighting was easier to manage and more enjoyable on a pad. And of course, analogue movement really adds to the experience in 3rd person games.

I played it on the Xbox and felt the same way he does.

Don't worry guys, the combat system will be heavily improved. Not only that, but the actual battles themselves.
You can:
1) Define your own fighting style.
-Kick your foes to death, strangle them, slice their heads off.
2) More improved battles.
-Enemies are more aggressive. They will roll, have their own combos, attack more often and wait until you see the Crow Master.
