Assassin's Creed Review?

because games that have alot of onscreenaction look tiny on a non hdtv e.g. GoW and COD4. As Assasins Creed is a stealthy game I doubt the action is fast paced and so easier on the eyes

I think the game's only flaw is:

You cant control when the assassination takes place. It wouldve been cool if you could ACTUALLY use the information you stole and listened in on etc, instead youre forced to assassinate your target in pretty much one manner. If you had more choice like in Hitman, it wouldve been awesome.

Theres just no real incentive to complete all the side quests when you think about it, as the same thing happens and you kill him in the same way :S

Its just an achievement race for xbox live?

damn straight.

I mean you get 20gp (each) for saving ALL the people in Damascus, Jerusalem, Acre (thats a lot of people like) and to see them you have to scale pretty much every view point.

I have a 28" non HDTV, shall Is till get it?

I have a 28" HDTV, but what has that got to do with the price of bread?

You won't lose any of the experience because you're viewing it on a 28" box. Think on, they had to design this game so it looked cushtie on a SDTV too.

In the end it's down to you whether you get it or not.

Well, I just beat it... I'm confused. There isn't really an ending to this. Which sucks. I watched through the credits which took me about two weeks to finish since they were so long and slow, and got the visions of the future achievement.

However... I can't see what is so awesome that people are talking about the ending.

Am I missing something? All there was was the ability to go back into the animus... and like 3 new e-mails on Vidic's computer.

I'm supremely disappointed in the ending. Just because you might make sequels, doesn't mean your ending has to be shit.

There's an entire thread I found dedicated to trying to solve all the stuff... http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?p=8652636#post8652636

It's bullshit when you give that to the gamers expecting them to want to figure it out to get any sense of closure... I want it all ****ing spelled out for me god damnit.

I know, the story really isn't worth the time. I thought it was very weak. People seem to like it because it forces the player to go out and read stuff to get some background info, but I thought even with all this stuff the plot was boring and silly.

There's also a few things to read on the conference room computer, but it's nothing special.

And yes, the credits were painfully long :|

I really feel this game was lacking in story, tremendously. I mean, I really enjoyed the game, I had fun while I played it. I'm glad I bought it and played it... but the story was WEAK. I need more story than just like 2 dozen cut-scenes and about 2 pages worth of e-mails and thats it.

Thanks, that's quite informative, but my reason still stands... it shouldn't have been done that way, very poor taste. I felt absolutely no sense of closure, even horrible cliff hangers leave some sense of temporary closure.
