I have a hard copy of this game, when I run the installer and click "Install" the program does nothing, and sometimes the installer will just disappear. I went into explore and tried to run the setup from there as administer and it still does nothing.

Has anyone had this problem? I searched quite a bit online and could not find this specific problem.

Is the setup.exe in your processes list after you click it? Some games take a good 10 minutes before they decide to do anything.

It's not in the processes list. I left it for like 20 minutes yesterday and it still did nothing.

You're sure you have enough space on your drive for it? Maybe you can rip the disks to your hard drive and run them that way.

I have more than enough space for sure. How would I go about doing that?

Have you tried all of a) AutoPlay, b) navigating directly to Setup.exe, and c) other setup executables on the disc?

[edit] Can you register the product key on Steam, if it has one?

I have tried all of that, and when I do attempt to directly use setup.exe it crashes.

There is a product code, and it is Games for Windows. Going to see if I can register the code through the Microsoft Games marketplace.

Bleh nothing, I guess its time to contact support, urghhh.

Game was pretty good. Whatever you do if you get the game to work don't upgrade any other weapon but the assault rifle. You'll know what I mean when you play it.

Okay, so I tried an external CD drive and it "worked" but during install (disc 1) I got an error that reads-

"Feature Transfer Error

Component: Default Component
File: F:\Data2.cab
Error: Data error (cyclic redundancy check) "

Something must be totally ****ed with this disc.
