PYRAMID HEAD to be in Silent Hill Movie!!

Roger Avary had a visit on the set of the movie, and talks about it a little bit on his blog. Looks like Pyramid Head is in the movie.

Direct quote from the entry:

"Seeing the nine-foot-tall Red Pyramid wander around alongside the four-foot gray children somehow makes the mood on the set oddly joyful."

I know there will be a load of people mad about this, as it is "James' evil" and all, but the executioners were around long before James came to Silent Hill. They wore the Pyramid Head outfits, so other people can see him/it too.

an unforgettable monster that stalks you all throughout silent hill 2...i just hope they don't cheesyfy pyramid head in the film though because in the game, he was just the epitome of complete evil....

i'm kind of releaved from how roger avary backed up pyramid head's on screen appearance maybe being of some annoyance to silent hill 2 fans with it being james' projection of punishment, he knows exactly what he's talking about which boosts my confidence all the more

It's only a mixture of 1 and 2. Silent Hill 1 is the scariest all because of the school. If you read the link I gave you, they talk about 4 foot grey children. That is the evil children in the school.

If I remember correctly while you're in a closet in Silent Hill 2 Pyrimad head starts to rape one of the zombies/monsters/mutants. (are they supposed to be just evil beings or transformed humans?)

Pyramid Head was just plain cool; he was so scary. While this doesn't mean the film will be good, it's a step in the right direction.

I also like how Avary understands the story as much as he does; a good sign.

Yeah, I remember I was so freaked out when I say him just standing behind the bars so we couldn't go near eachother

It doesn't actually have a name, "That Pyramid Head thing" is how the main character describes it during one conversation. Whether it's a helmet or not is never clarified (nor is it really a topic of interest in the game ).

Actually there short grey children because their children. If you'd played the first silent hill..you would know what I'm talking about because you would never forget it.

well...im not much of a console gamer but anyway, i've heard alot about the series and this sounds promising.

just wish i there were PC versions of these games.

lol yeah, you'll prolly get them all in the bargain bin GAME or your canadian equivalant, also try internet stores etc, everyone should atleast try a sh game, they're very underrated imho.

lol, definately get sh2, i have sh3 and like it quite a bit, sh4 isnt bad.

yeah there is some very good 1s there alright, i remember reading the sh2 one one summer, very interesting, shame i basically spoiled the whole game by reading it but it sounded very cool, i got sh3 instead which had just been released and enjoyed that alot too, sh3 is very visually shocking whereas sh2 sounded more about atmosphere etc, 3 had buckets of that too though.

Im a huge fan of Silent Hill series. Only played Silent Hill 2,3 and 4. I do love all of them, except the last one is alittle different but still good. Its pure pain and evil to play the games, its like you dont want to play them but you must know how the story ends, because its so damn interesting. Cant wait to see this movie, and i hope itll be something far from Resident Evil or Tomb Raider.
