This is pretty much on the nail.
There seems to be a syndrome in games development where every time a new generation of engines comes out , devs go and retread old ground for the new generation.
I will buy q4 , but only in the hope of an original mod.

Bitterman looks a lot different (not in a good way) and the HUD looks nothing like the original Quake II's. Quake II's was original and simple. And what's with the guns? Nailgun? That was from Quake.
I hate you Raven.

-Note: This is my opinion, don't come bitching to me and say how much Raven rules, personally, I thought they ruined most of the games they worked on.

The games 2 years away, its suppost to look like ass.

Go look at the first stalker screenshot.,They look like ass by todays standards, but the new ones are amazing.

How cares if it's 2 years away, Raven never really revolutionized games except with a Random mission generator and in terms of gore.
And even if it is 2 years away, the screenshots tell me it won't be as great as I anticipated and if they change a lot in 2 years, it will still have the things that Raven Software has already confirmed. You'll be working with other marines, the best part of Quake II was killing your useless buddies and letting them rest in peace and you taking their ammo. When you're alone, it means you are a kick-ass marine who took on a great alien species and that also makes the game more challenging.
Edit: I thought that you thought I meant graphically.

also I see that everibody here is so demanding in graphics
I never played Doom3 but it hav the best graphics so far,well In my opinion cronicles of riddick:escape of butcher bay hav better graphics but looks very similiar, but the point is that almost all the menbers menber here just like games if hav graphics more real than the real world

I am not so demanding in graphics aldo I am not so demanding cuz my PC is not so good to run the furthers game that will come

for that I like consoles, cuz you dont need to upgrade them (please dont start whit the consoles hate)

I like plenty of other games, but this one really does look lame to me. It's the uninspired design that wrecks it. It was tolerable enough that every id game looked vaguely the same. Now they look exactly the same.

This is a Raven game...not ID.

Hopefully someone already mentioned this.
