ROFL, I think I'd know if I was playing instagib...it was Team DM. Every gun available and things. It was just the deaths weren't counting right. No real biggy.

Okay, so I've got 10 (!) invites now, I'm gonna give most of them to people here. Just be warned though, they tend to disappear on me sometimes, so I'm might not be able to send any at some point.

Top bar, next to "you don't have a Quake Live account, click here to sign up!" (even though you do). They go out in waves and disappear once enough people are invited though, so don't panic if they vanish on you. All mine are gone now, and only two of em got scooped up...

Is there a way to skip the warm up training thing?
 
I never played Quake before and I just got in and played my first game. It's incredibly hard and you have to aim at a person going 500MPH. I'm hool10 on Quake Live.
 
It is real hard and REAL fast. It takes some getting used to if you play slower FPS's like CoD4 and CS.
 
Why the hell are most of the players already used to it? D:

Duh, I know, but still I'd assume some players would be new to Quake 3 and those that did play it years before, would have to get used to the game style again (after playing slower-paced FPS' for the past years).
 
There's a skill based system which recommends you servers with players at the same skill level as yours. Doesn't always work perfectly, but I found no problems with it.

I've never joined a server where there are one or two people just flat out dominating everybody else....maybe one day I'll find a good server :p
 
They said they added a way to skip the training in the latest version. Not that it takes that long to complete it. Lucid, what's your screen name since you're in California?
