Quest discussion *SPOILERS*

thought id make a thread where people can ask and answer questions about different quests!
ill start it off:
one of my first quests(yet to be completed) was finding out who is responsible for the disappearance of some countess' beloved painting(of hher late husband)
you have to ask around and find physical evidence before accusing anyone
spent a good hour on it without finding the evidence i need
has anyone completed this quest?:rolling:

No, I got stuck and just moved on to the Find the heir quest, which was awesome.

My favorite so far was a quest I found in bravil.

Some woman in town was walking around whining about her husband. So being the thief I am I figured there was money to make off of her grievance. I ask her whats up and she says her husband is missing. Oh great...another one of those quests where you go to some hut in the middle of nowhere, find a dead body and a letter and return. She tells me he had a gambling problem and was last seen in an inn. Ok...so he had a big debt and got offed by them when he stayed at the inn. I go in there and talk to some orc in armor, he tells me that he offered to fix the guys debt, but he had left his axe in an old fort. He wouldn't tell me where the guy was until I retrieved it.

He had a boat waiting for me so I hopped on and went to the island. I walked up to the gate and it was shut...couldnt even click on it. I eventually figured out there was a switch on the ground next to a rock. I open the gate up and walk in to find the axe. What do I see? The womans husband and no axe. I talk to him and he informs me we are now stuck in the old fort. Apparently people pay that orc well to trap humans so people can hunt them. Oh frick...now were screwed im just a thief. So I entered the hunters run sneaking and slowly began to explore. It didn't take long for me to find the first hunter, a sneak attack pretty much finished him off and he didn't last much longer after that. I had a nice enchanted dagger with cold damage. Of course there were traps and all kinds of fun stuff in there as well. I took the first hunters key and moved on. Exploring every little bit to find loot. I found a shortcut to the next hunter and avoided another trap in the process. The second hunter gave more of a fight...almost had to use a healing potion. Good thing this place was full of them.

It was a little while longer that I found the door to leave that area...into the next part of the hunters run. I opened the door with the first 2 hunters keys and moved on. There were just a few rats and a deal of loot in this area. Nearing the end what do I see? A giant shrine. This is bad news. I sneak around and decide to swim to the bottom of it to see if there was any loot. Nope...but when I surfaced I got a nice sword to the face. The 3rd hunter was decked out in nice gear and a badass weapon. I was getting my ass kicked. I had to down all but 1 potion to take him down, and when I did I of course took all of his nice gear...despite being 2lbs from being encumbered. I backtracked to go out since I got the last key to leave the fort and return to bravil. I leave and what do I see? The orc beating the guys face in. He kills him and of course I am next. Without and healing pots left I was screwed...so I reverted to my marksman skills and simply plunked him in the face and kept running. Unfortunately he had a second person with him that was doing the same thing.

I ran up the stairs to the second ledge and took out the archer with my dagger. The second level was now mine to shoot the orc from above. It took a while since he kept running all over but he eventually went down. He as well had some nice gear which I swapped with some other stuff as well as his sword which sold for a pretty penny. I then took his key and was finally free to leave that place. That is the last time I will doubt a missing person quest as some drunkered that was offed in the wilderness. Phew.

Oh...if anyone has done the thieves quest I am stuck on the arrow of extrication part, how did you get past the door that you need a key to get into?
