quick question for u guys/gals!!!

Well, when the 9600 Pro is at stock speeds, the 9700 Pro wins. But, when you o/c the 9600 Pro it has better performance then the 9700 Pro. Basically, the 9600 Pro is the best bang for the buck!

and what about when u O/C the 9700 Pro? wouldn't it perform better than a 9600 Pro O/C'ed? just wondering...
 
yes the 9700pro is better than than 9600pro. You can OC the 9600pro to near 9700pro speeds, but the 8 pipelines of the 9700pro will allow it to win. That's before you OC the 9700pro, which will bring it up even more.
