Demon's Souls (PS3) - Asia Region

9/10

Deep and dark action-oriented RPG with excellent graphics, even better combat, and loads of replayability with lots of classes, equipment, magic, bosses, locations, etc. Plus it has one of the coolest online components in an RPG. Most fun RPG I have played in a LONG time. Everyone PS3 owner who is into RPGs should import this (even though it is really hard to do so because shipments have been so limited). It will be well worth the wait though.:thumbs:

HAWX Demo - 7/10

Fun game. I don't plan on buying it but it looks great and is easy to get the hang of.

Last game I finished was Mirror's Edge, gets an 8/10, the outdoor bits were great but most of the indoor parts ruined it a bit.

Currently re-playing Crackdown, which is as ****ing amazing now as it was when I last played it about 6 months ago..

Universe at War: Earth Assault- 6\10- Very well made but so damn cliche in story and characters that i didnt get into it at all.

The last campaign degenerated into the same damn DOW expansion "choose your route" annoyance that i have seen too damn much of and didnt like the first time. Combine that with sci fi hallmarks such as all aliens being space humans and Earth is the site of Ancient space humans and you have this.

F.E.A.R. 2 - 6/10

As B_Man said, solid FPS, but brings nothing to the table and isn't as engaging as it could be. I couldn't bother with this game for more than a few hours, whereas FEAR at least occupied my complete attention for the first 3/4ths of the game.

Empire: Total War - 9/10

Absolutely spectacular. Some annoying traditional Total War issues are still hovering around, but the sheer excellence of the Napoleonic warfare makes up for it almost completely. The naval battles especially are wonderfully implemented, realistic, and oh-so-beautiful. A patch or two down the road and this game could be near flawless.

Hmmm, it was the other way round for me, took me about 3 and a half years to get through the first simply because I found it dull and repetitive, yet the second, well, I must be on around my 5th or 6th playthrough now.

Empire - Total War - 7/10

Once I got over the initial hype (and annoying FPS issues) I started to slowly detract from playing this. Where it does look stunning, the naval and land battles are great, and my o-so-favorite campaign map better than ever, the battles started getting boring, simply because it seems every faction I fight, they have more or less the same units I have, with a different name.

I can use the same tactics for every army and win, in the earlier total war games, one turn you fighting rampant barbarian Gauls, or the next you were fighting the defensive hoplites of Greece, the next you were up against huge calvary armies, then next you were fighting fellow legionaries. Constantly having to adapt the way you fought, I have fought many battles in Empire so far and I simply have not been forced to do this.

Everything else is excellent, but that one flaw for me is a HUGE let down.

6th playthrough wow. The game only been out a few weeks. Have you been completing it and starting again straight away?

I found it a pain to get used to that no assist mode. But I must have been doing it wrong because I found it confusing as hell to try and fly.

Yeah, the problem with which is what? TBH it's the best of the new FPS releases on PC this year.

The game is genuinely fun to play, more so than the original IMO.

Empire: Total War - 9.5/10

I absolutely adore this game. The time period is fantastic, and having to change my strategies from previous more melee oriented TW games was disorienting at first, and the new province systems took a bit too get used to, but it's great now. Just engineered the revolution to change the Prussian government to a republic, and now have the German flag instead of the old Holy Roman one. Pretty awesome.

UT3 Betrayal - 8/10
Just needs the INSTA back in instagib, ****ing netcode.

Lego Island - 7/10...
Really hasn't aged well at all. :p
Took me a few minutes to get it running on XP.

Killzone 2 almost done with both single and multiplayer. its just not as good as i thought it would be and the hype around the game made it seem like it was spoogetastic but its not. great eye candy but still awful controls

Little Big Planet 9/10

played this at the Gestapo's house. Awesome fun

and to think a few months back i dismissed it as a crappy kiddies game. what an idiot

I thought that too, but its just such accessible fun.

Metal Gear Solid 4 - Stealth+No Kill run - 100/10

So much more fun.

And this is the only game to ever make me cry. The end of the last 2 acts makes me break down.

I just get an overflow of emotion as I think back on the MGS series, how those games had such an affect on my life.

The perfect way to say goodbye to my gaming idol.

Lost Winds 9/10

This game is breath of fresh air, everything about it is done right. I've never played a game that actually had a calming effect, a game that I could call peaceful. The controls are amzingly intuitive, highly original. Puzzles are clever, yet not annoyingly difficult. Music and backgrounds are simply beautiful. The inclusion of light combat was nice, allowing you to simply choose to ignore enemies if you'd like to, fun ways to dispose of them if not. Simple, beautiful, tranquil, had a great time playing. I want more.

New Riddick Game Demo 8/10

Wayyy short, pretty hard and there was this weird bug I was getting where if I killed guys with a shotgun their fallen guns would float in the air.

Yeah the floating gun glitch is way too common. I agree about everything you said though. The melee combat is fun as hell. Digging the Drone mechanics too.

I tried downloading the Wheelman demo just cause I was curious, but I kept getting some weird error when I tried installing it.

That sucks. It's pretty nifty. Oh also

HAWX - 8/10

****ING ZOOOOOOOOOM PEWPEWPEWPEW ASSISTANCE OFF SHOOOOOM TARGET LOCK BANDITS AON YOUR 6 SHAKE 'EM OFF TARGET ACQUIRED THAT'S A HIT 25 XP GAINED YOU ARE NOW GENERAL OF THE AIRFORCE HARRIER UNLOCKED PULL UP PULL UP.

Halo Wars - 5/10

Boring, fun for the first mission or two.

50 Cent: Blood on the Sand - 7/10

Yeah I'm...it's ****ing fun ok?

Castle Crashers - Shamrock is ****ing awesome/10

I ****ing love this game. It's so awesome with friends, especially Shamrock of all people.

Defense Grid: The Awakening - 0/10...

I fell asleep while playing this. :|
You can't upgrade towers, enemies can't attack towers, there is no ****ing skill involved.

**** this game, I'll just play the much better flash versions.

Flower 9/10

You have never played a game like this before. Play it now.

Eh, yeah, you can upgrade towers. The controls aren't very good though.

Red Orchestra

You can upgrade, you can't in the first couple of missions though.

Enemies can't attack towers, correct. I wish they would have build in something of "If you wall in, the towers get destroyed, they don't walk through."

The skill in this game is that skill of chess. Strategy and planning ahead. In the later levels, you really have to make a maze for the enemy to get lost in. It's a fun time waster. I'd give it a 7/10.

Mind you, I only played the demo.
I wouldn't waste $20 on it.

Killzone 2 Demo - 8/10...
Gorgeous.
It also makes generic weapons sound and feel awesome when you use them.

Men of War - 9/10

Rating based on my personal tastes, it's definitely more of a niche interest game... You either love it or hate it. Basically just Faces of War but with new features/improvements.

Tom Clancy's Hawx PC - 8/10

Simple, but well optimized arcade shoot em up, great seeing as I didn't hold much hope after the abysmal End War.

I seriously couldnt help but think+say lines from Top Gun every time I had a dogfight on the demo of Hawx.

Might get it when the price drops.

Rainbow Six Vegas 2 - 9.5/10

Awesome game, multiplayer could be better.
