They're so interesting, and unlike the shows, he actually tells you why you fell for it. I actually guessed the card one right... it was amazing! Although once he explains it, you suddenly realise how simple it is.

I didn't guess the shape one right, but he said that that meant I have an open mind, so it made me feel special

by the way, make the window fill the whole of the screen, there's a lot of visual movements involved.

I dunno if it was fake or not. I doubt this stunt more than any of his other ones in the same category.
Its worth remembering that derren likes to do a lot of simple magic tricks but pretend that hes using psychology. He gives fake explanations as to how things are done. As for stooges, he said himself if one of them ever went to a paper theyd make a shitload of money and he would be finished, so he cant use them. But maybe he makes them sign lifelong ndas or something, who knows.

One of my favourites is where he asks a woman to look at someone walking down the road and put her hand up when she wants a random passer by to stop in the road. She does it and the person just stops. Its freaky and i have no idea how he did it. Great to see some people here who actually commend his work rather than doubt him.

I've had a small interest in hypnotism for a long time now. From what I understand, you can't just put someone in a trance by making some flashes on a tv screen a few times. I realy doubt this is real, unless he did the same thing they do on Fear Factor and went through a few thousand people trying to find someone who is realy easy to put in a trance then had his buddies help set him up.
