The name is JunctionAngel, and I am the lead designer and director of a soon-to-be-fully-in-works Single-player modification named City-Machine. We are, at the moment, a grown five-people group. We are about to get to work very soon, however we need a few more helpers. And yes, I have posted here before, now I'm posting again.
ABOUT:
City-Machine is a first-person shooter that will blend thematic elements with ultra-stylistic gameplay. With many futuristic weapons at hand, you lead the main character ‘Jack’ through a variety of different settings, buildings and enviroments. You are ordered to shut-down a terrorist organization, save a kidnapped scientist, and stop the terrorists plans for world domination. Behind all the terrorism, is the large amount of lies, deception, and hidden truths, that keep every human from revealing the secret of the present humanity. A large piece of decaying matter just waiting to be revealed. A city with no name. No birth. No life and no happiness. And with ‘mindless creatures’ inhabiting the world called earth. Being controlled. One by one.
This team already has:
- Two concept-artists (one of which is me)
- A 3D animator
- One Mapper
- One Composer/Musician
- A Project leader/Writer
And we are searching for:
- A Coder; must have some experience with HL2 coding. C++ is must have, without it, there will be nothing.
- A Texture-artist/Graphic artist; someone with artistic ability to create map textures, model textures, character textures and weapon textures.
- A 3D Model Skinner; someone that can UV unwrap 3d models so they can be textured by a texture artist later.
- A Character Modeler; The Modeler will hopefully be able to give us full body character models, so we can get them rigged and animated by some of our other members and placed into game. The modeler must have some experience using 3d Studio Max/XSI or any other program that supports SMD export.
- A Weapon Modeler; Someone that can make fantastic weapon models. Example work with great weapon models would be a definite join.
- A Prop Modeler; Someone that can make quick and easy furniture models, kitchen models, enviroment models, office models. (Desk, Chair, Lamp, etc)
(It would be useful if modelers used XSI, 3D MAX, or any other program that supports SMD export, milkshape etc) If you're able to do two jobs at once, that would be even better.
We are searching for individuals with these skills; people that are very capable, and can present great, looking work or create something of eye-candy display. If you would like to join, email me whenever and I will contact you, or post in this thread. A forum will soon be launched. Communication can either be from the forum or on any messenger. It will be great if an entire team could create fantastic, eye-candy graphics, so it can match up with the great Gameplay that is planned to come.
