Red Alert 3 promotion trailer with Hellmarch (about time...)

Why even bother? Just leave it as an AU and be done with it.

I'm sure Russia doesn't actually use Giant Squid, which was my main wtf moment in RA2.

Ok, fine. The psychics were my wtf moment in RA2.

I thought the Tiberium universe arose when the Soviets won...

no cos otherwise gdi wouldn't exist and the world in cnc 1 would have been enthralled in communism

True... but I'm pretty sure Kane appears and mentions the brotherhood if the soviets won...

And I'm pretty sure the second Red Alert happened because the Allies put in another leader to replace Stalin after winning. But, inevitably, after some B-rated acting, it turned out he was a bad choice after all. Surprise, surprise.

Yeah, so where the hell does RA relate to Command and Conquer? I'm pretty sure they're not even on the same timeline...

red alert 1 is on the same timeline as the tiberium games.

the other red alert games are different timelines, and red alert 3 seems to be ****ing the whole timeline thing up.

Also yes kane does appear in the soviet ending in RA 1 and mentions the brotherhood but the brotherhood has been going for centuries. BTW I thought that ending was bad ass :D

"Comrade chairman I am the future"

I heard that they was going to have the stories intersect but eventually dropped it , so no they arent in the same universe any more.

Red Alert and the Tiberian games are in the same timeline. FACT. Allies won the war. FACT.

I thought the exact same thing and even wiki agrees with this.

As i stated in another post, alot can change in 50 years, the break down of the euro wall, capitalism rises through, while the fall of commies Kane probably moves to grab his power and starts building a massive force. and thus and logically start the tiberian dawn.

If the Allies won the war, then we know for certain that Red Alert 2 happens. So where the hell, if they're on the same timeline, does Tiberian Dawn come from, then? If they're on the same timeline and there's no significant historical event to cause a split, then where the hell does it split?

that's what i was talking about earlier. It seems somehow the existence of yuri causes the split in timelines.

YURI IS OBVIOUSLY A SPACE-TIME SCREWBALL THAT NEVER SHOULD HAVE EXISTED.

That or Superboy punched reality again. Who knows?

Yuri doesn't appear until Red Alert 2. So that doesn't relate to where the timeline split from the Tiberian timeline.

Also, I don't see how anything that happened on earth affects the landing of Tiberium on the planet. As far as I was aware, Tiberium should have appeared on earth during or before one of the Red Alert games, thus implying that they're totally separate univi.

i'm not saying that you're wrong as you raise some great points but it seems that westwood and also EA still think of them as connected. Well i can't say for sure with EA they seem to change their story on this every 5 minutes.

Also call me uneducated in the rules of time travel but if you travel back in time and change something then doesn't that just erase everything else a la Back to the future. I never knew travelling back in time created different timelines and it gets even worse in RA2 when they start to bloody merge.

Parallel universes everything is possible. Sheesh even watching BTTF you'd know that.

when? I haven't seen it in a while but I do remember marty nearly disappearing in the first one

EDIT: I remember now doc brown explains in the second one how after travelling in time you create a new timeline BUT you also erase the other one so I am still left back at my original question now O_o

Tiberium shouldn't land till sometime after RA2 in that timeline.

However, the Tacitus should be around somewhere. Unless it was accidentally destroyed in one of the wars.

Red Alert 1: 1950s
Red Alert 2: 1970s
Tiberium lands: 1990s

It's far too confusing for me to even comment. It would make much more sense if they were in totally different timelines. Like good ol' Generals.

Man that trailer was kickass! Back to the old music and the units look devastating.

This has single-handedly revived my love of the franchise, no matter or perhaps because of how cheesy it looks.
