Red Alert 3

The following questions will deterimine if i should get the game:

1.Are there mamoth tanks? (apocalypse tanks whatev)Yes.
2. Are there tesla coils?Yes.
3. Are there prism towers?Yes.
4. Are there V2 rockets?Yes.
5. Do the soviet infantry reply with the same level of awesomeness as in RA 1 and 2 ?Don't remember how they sounded in RA2.

Answered.
Also, the co-commander is pretty useful.
They're not absolutely braindead, but I do hate how you split resources.

OK, Huston we have a problem...
Reached the fourth mission with the soviets, and when it's done instead of starting the next cut scene, it kicks me to windows :/
Started the Allied campaign, and same thing, fourth mission completed kick to windows... :|

Splitting resources is fine with me since (from what I've played) they give you at least twice the amount of ore mines between you as they would do otherwise - when compared to starting locs in skirmish maps.

Pirate. It's a known issue with Reloaded's release of the game you need a crackfix by them. But yeah now we all know you don't have a legitimate version.

That isn't an official fix by them. So Remus is a pirate ey? I must remember this...

Jesus Christ, Japan is a c*nt to fight against.
That Yuriko Omega bitch is so god damn cheap it isn't even funny.

I dunno, Japan does decent damage but a lot of their units are pretty squishy.

So... nobody's up for playing some co-op?

Screw you guys!

What's the verdict? Does it live up to the awesomeness that was RA2?

Not by a long shot, but it is fun on its own.

Become a better person, control your life and play the amazing new RTS game Red Alert 3 from Electronic Arts. Learn from the best, the international superstar David Hasselhoff!

Japan's versatility is annoying to battle. God damn.

/EDIT Lucid is lying, it's definitely a worthy successor.

Yes you will.
Besides simply go online and play with a real person.
Play with a drunken Cyberpitz or something.
Also, yes you will.

I'm only here to comment on this.

Thank you.

Finished all factions, and the allies ending was lul worthly

President Hoff!

Dunno. Missions take forever. "BATTLEFIELD EXPANDED" Ffffffffffffffffffff

The campaigns are lacking a sense of coherency like RA1 and 2 had, probably because I have no real clue how the rest of the war effort is going. Some maps would have been nice. I think somebody else mentioned this.

I'm thinking they made extra footage you know, so when it comes to the add on, it was done and dusted.

Also I believe the Empires ending was the next forward to an addon. Dr. Zelinsky's Timed Revenge or something

This game is incredible amounts of fun.

Just finished the Allied missions. So ****ing hilarious.

Tim Curry overacting, at his best.

Shouldn't you update your kirov icon, kirovman?

Yes I should. I'm looking for a suitable alternative.

Tim Curry is hilarious, I always remember him as the Home Alone 2 hotel concierge.

"Kirov Reporting!"
"If only Lenin could see us now!"

:D

Anyone play online much? Add me: nicksource (In chat: /friend nicksource)

Would like a good buddy to do 2v2s.

Does each campaign take place over the same section of time? I kinda wish they'd follow eachother, was odd starting the allied campaign and getting attacked by General Krukov

In every C&C game (bar Generals) the campaigns take place over the same timeframe. In almost all of them (Firestorm being the only full exception to this) the campaigns have different stories, ie, if you play the Nod campaign Nod win the war and if you play the GDI campaign GDI win the war.

I did notice some common associations in the storylines.

Like when the soviet scientist defects to the allies. That seems to happen in both the Allied and Empire campaigns.

Gonna point out your wrong on this, CnC3 did the same thing as Firestorm, Nod lost the war in there campaign but gain they're goal.

The last Allied mission is made for me by Tim Curry's frienzied, gloating, hilariously B-Grade expression as he reveals his master grand plan.

MAJOR SPOILER ALERT

"I am going to escape into the one place UNTOUCHED by Capitalism...! ...SPACE!1!11!1!!!"

Except that there are contradictions between the C&C3 campaigns. Whether or not the Mothership (and therefore, the foreman) was destroyed, the Scrin Tiberium thingy that kills all the Scrin when destroyed. Even within the GDI campaign there are two options. The use of the Tiberium bomb or not.

On the other hand in Firestorm the only small contradiction is that you don't ever see the other faction attacking CABAL's core, although it's implied that the other faction is fighting on the other side of the core but just don't make it to the final battle.

So this game is, like, possibly the greatest game bar Left 4 Dead to come out this year and I'm hearing nobody talk about it. What's wrong with you people? Are you all brain-dead?

It's good but not that good, why do you have the hots for it.

And don't give me some lame short clinical explanation. I want ****ing passion, i want to hear about how
it made you feel, what you thought of the characters, what cool things you did, cool strategies and tactics
you used, funny stories with co-op, whatever.
