Red Cross Helped Iraqi Terrorists for Hostage Release

It's called the Hippocratic Oath.

They stayed politically impartial, ethically strong and subsequently saved two people. I'd call that a win.

Hippocratic oath is garbage. There are many situations where it is dead wrong.

Example: A child molestor and killer of 50 toddlers needs a new heart or he'll die in 24 hours, as does a person of the calibur of Mother Theresa, except the killer was in line one before here. He gets it, she dies. That's not right.

How many more Iraqis and Coalition soldiers will these terrorists now kill? What if the one they patched up goes on to bomb a market in the town, killing 45. Was it worth it? No.

Well that depends if we see the insurgency as terrorism,

or national liberation.

Me, the later.

really? by your logic the iraqi doctors who saved Jessica Lynch's life should have turned their back to her and let her die. Or worse: they should have killed her to prevent her from killing any more iraqi civilians because she was a soldier. When in fact the complete opposite was true: the medics who saved private lynch went out of their way to deliver her to the americans even coming under fire a few times in a case of mistaken identity ..it's their DUTY to save lives regardless of political affiliation

they were negotiating with them for the release of captives ..justified in my opinion

See you think its wrong to help the insurgents, becuase you see them as the enemy. I don't. So we can see why the help everybody, because both sides thinks the others evil.

Besides, your whole peadophile scenario would never happen any way.

This forum is being overrun by certain posts, what happened to provoke such a torrent? ... It really is a downer, all this american partisan stuff ... anywho

dont assist terrorists, it makes them hungry for more ransoms. more money, more suicide bomb attacks/ murders

Except that the Red Cross is a politically neutral organization that may very well have saved those four people anyways.
Terrorists want leverage over major political powers, and would gain next to nothing from targeting an independant non-profit group like the RC.

Those raving left wing lunatics at the red cross, doing humanity a favor, who the hell do they think they are! Seriously, you dips aren't even grasping at straws anymore, you've totally lost it, I think you guys (the reps on this board) should start a comedy tour, at least you'd be good at that!

or national liberation.

One that kills more of the citizens then its enemy. I would hardly call Al-Qaeda's Abu Masab Al-Zarqwai a liberator ...

Do not negotiate with terrorists. I hope they did something in operation that will kill them, infect them, or make their wounds worse after a few days (wounds reopen etc) If so it might not be as bad, but I know they didn't :/

It's called Prisoner exchange, but it does not change what the terrorist would've done and had commited already despite the agreement.
