redeeming itunes songs

I had to re-format and I forgot to backup my itunes music.. is there a way I can get my music back

Hmm. I read an article about this sort of thing not long ago, wait, I'll see what I can remember.

EDIT: Data stays on the computer until it's overwritten. And it IS possible to recover things. Send it in to one of them companies that do Data Recovery. Shouldn't cost too much
Might exist some programs that can help you too.

You mean stuff you purchased using Itunes? I think you can redownload it because apple have a record of your account and purchases. Try their website for info.

new problem: ipod apperas to be stuck in "disk mode" I cant make it do anything it just has a folder with an explination point and then enters disk mode (can hear disk spinning within ipod)

i just reformatted my computer yesterday and all of my songs are back. just log into your itms account, and under the advanced menu click "check for purchased music..."
or you could have played it safe like me and backed up all your music.

try downloading the ipod software and running it again. you might have to restore your ipod to make it work.
