Resident Evil 4

One thing i saw in one of the trailers were that it was pitch black and when the lightning hit the sky it lightened up the village and i could see zombies few feet away from the player. That was really cool :D

ok I just played the first episodes and I hav to say that this game is really cool, and a bit hard too

also I hav some few questiongs and please no spoilers

the chainsaw guy can be killed? cuz I just hav figted against one but I shoot it like 30 bullets and it didnt died, also I trow it a fire grenade and it didnt died
you can walk aiming?
the game hav subtitles?

You can kill the chainsaw guys - aim for the head and use grenades. Keep plugging away untill the bastard goes down, then keep shooting him :)

I'm not sure about subtitles and you have to stand still to aim.

Here's where I am so far:

I just finished the part in chapter 2 where you can choose 1 of 2 ways. I went through the right to face the giant ogre thing, killed him then went back to the left side just to get money and items. I hate when those bastards charge me, I blow their heads off with rifles and that parasite thing comes out to kick some more ass.

So far it's a lot of fun though. I've upgraded the Red9 as much as I can for right now and put some $$ into upgrading capacity and firepower on the shotgun. Right now I think I'm gonna save money for a badass weapon or something. Any tips on what I should spend my $$ on that might be a long-term gun? I have like 40k right now.

Spend your money on caches that improve your inventory size. They'll be invaluable. Also, when the time comes to buy the Broken Butterfly, dont buy it. You can actually find it later in the game for free, and you'll save a ton of money.

Hold on to the Red9, its the best pistol in the game. Try and upgrade the uzi, as its also the only real machinegun in the game.

I liked the more compact handguns you get further on in the game. They fire faster when fully upgraded, hold more ammo, and reload nigh-instantaneously. The Red9 is cool beans though.

Aw great, i hate the damn postmen in Sweden. The package i ordered including Gamecube and RE 4 is now in a town 30 mins from my own. It got there this morning and itll stay there until monday. I cant play it this weekend. Damn lazy postmen

Wieehoo, got my GC today even if they said i wont. Too damn scary to play without a memory card. Ill buy one tomorrow

Go on, give it a go, you know you want to.

RE4 is one of the few games i've started all over again after just playing for a few hours - it was that good I just wanted to do it again, straight away :)

I'm on my 4th or 5th time through the game now ... and still love it.

I re played the first bit again after I'd completed it for the first time, I didn't really want to go back for a third time though. What you did there with RE4, I did with HL2 :P...I keep going back.

Garfield: Don't double post.

Sorry but check the times i posted. The graphics in RE4 is far better than ive ever seen on any console game, some things look even better than in most PC games that have been released in 2004-2005

Its not the time, its actually doing it. Don't :P

Yeah, the graphics are totally awesome.

I went back after a couple hours of RE4...but that was because my roomate saved over my game...he said he didn't know how the typewriter worked for saving...lies.

hehe, ive played to the big graveyard. And the game seems to be the best looking game ive seen :)

Now i have beaten it, took me just about 16 hours, one of the best games ive ever played and one with a really nice ending :D

I'm really close to beating it. Gonna polish it off tomorrow afternoon I think.

Cool, you'll get 2 new games unlocked when beaten :D

in the PS2 version there is a new mode you play as Eda (sp?) for 5 hours

This is the side mission thingy with Ada that you unlock at the end of the game? Or is it an actual, proper campaign this time?

It's an extra called 'Separate Ways'. Not a whole campaign, but 5 extra (tiny) chapters.

(check it out if you have access to RE4 on the PS2, but not worth buying if you already have it on the GC)

But but...I read it was like 20 hours :(.

Maybe if you play really really s.......l..........o........w...........l.........y :)

(it might last you 5 hours if you take your time)

Maybe the whole game is 20 hours with that extra Ada bit added on.

The normal SP portion lasts about 17 or so hours the first time.
