I'm pretty sure core 2 duo's require ddr2 ram, not just ddr.

STALKER was one of the more interesting games I was looking foward to - that is, before they removed :
- Fuel
- Vehicles (Especially the Hind D Chopper)
- Random Blowouts
- Sleeping
- Eating
- Open-Endedness (Now it's apparently the "Follow the main story FFX-style " approach)
- Barricading areas to prevent monster access
- A.I being able to beat the game before/with you. (A showdown with another non-scripted Stalker at the Zone Core, etc ...)
Basically, it was a too ambitious project for a beginning company which had time issues, as well as budget issues. Still, the end result is going to be interesting - will it simply be a dumbed-down FPS for the masses (a.l.a "Halo"), or a RPG aspect one (a.l.a "Deus Ex") ?
Only time will tell, eh ? :hmph:

Neo_Kuja, Open-Endedness is still in, trust me, but all the other things, sadly, are removed, btw, the Hind chopper was never once stated to be pilotable by the player..
Also, I wouldn't say it's too ambitious, I'd say the CEOs in charge of GSC are asses, they've broken lots of promises to the devs heck, even withheld salaries from them(Apparently this is ok in Russia), so most of the original team is leaving directly after STALKERs completion, figures eh?
