They talk about reaching a singularity to achieve teleportation. In a black hole, the centre of mass of it is a singularity.
As you watch something go into the black hole, and pass the event horizon, it appears to freeze and it will never seem to fall into the black hole, as light cannot escape to show you this.
Looks like a singularity might have been achieved at the end. The g-man walks out of the singularity.

Or mearly gives the illusion of doing so.
Could be he teleported Gordon and Alyx out, and what you see is just a backdrop of the events the instant you were rescued. The only real objects in that scene seem to be you, G-man and Alyx.
You motion is impededed at that point, as is Alyx's, just like when you are in the weapon confiscation field. Maybe G-man is just confiscating you.
