I picked up the Demo from my local game stop yesterday just by simply preordering and when i popped it in i was amazed at the visuals it simply AWSOME!!!! Gameplay was good too.

I give it a 9.5 out of 10

driving = awsome
ragdolls=awsome
voice over= awsome
car physics=awsome
weapons sounds=awsome
1080i =awsome

When i first heard of the game i thought it was a GTA killer and it is no question about it. Just my opinion .

Awesome :)

I just called my friend at Best Buy and told me to see if he had any of these lying around...

Hopefully I get to play this tonight then too :)

BTW, the demo comes out officially Aug. 1 for everyone.

*Edit* BTW, what does the demo entail? Is it just a bunch of missions? Are parts of the city blocked off in the demo(like in Test Drive)? Multiplayer?

er great review......how about a few more details?

I've been watching all the gameplay videos and trailers and my impressions are that this is some True Crime game with the graphics from Driver 3, both games were crap but two crappy games makes one decent game :)

Graphics are far better than Driver 3. Saint's Row's a fun as hell game. There's only a few missions and it is blocked off, red walls block you off saying "DEMO." But it's just really fun.

Grrr my friend didn't pick up the CD from work, that bastard.

Oh well I'll just wait till Aug. 1.

Why not? It seems like a great game to me, and definetely will keep us all happy until GTA4 is released next year.

Err.. he's saying the review wasn't done very well and if the game is around that same quality, then it won't be worth getting. I'd be curious to hear a somewhat more detailed review other than just "aw[e]some". Now I haven't played the game but I highly doubt this game is half a point shy from being a 'perfect' game. :|

Well don't listen to the topic creator, the only thing he actually cares about is the graphics and ragdoll. The gameplay is very fun and fluid. Game's not "holy shit awesome amazing hell yeah" good, but its pretty "well this is quite fun and enjoyable" good. AI's decent, car physics are handled well, though a big unrealistic in a few spots. Nothing that really detracts from anything. Ragdoll, like always is ragdoll, so you should know what to expect. Haven't seen any real glitches with it. Framerate is steady for the most part, might freeze a second sometimes, nothing too noticeable. Voice acting is excellent so far, don't know much for music, only one station (rap) available for the demo and none of its good rap, but previews say to expect just about everything GTA radio stations had so I'm sure there'll be some rock, talk stations, etc. Hopefully we can add our music. I personally can't wait for it.

Yea. As of about a year ago, they expected at least 6 stations, and custom soundtracks are supported.

I love the multi-player vids. But the single-player demo (I watched the vid) I'm afraid is your derivative GTA/Mafia/Driv3r/True Crime in mechanics and story. Wrong place at the wrong time, get recruited, do stuff, rise in the ranks, and I can only assume a love interest and betrayal and revenge arc later.

Atleast I won't be spending $80 on this, might wanna pick it up later when price is down by half.
