Its not like it matters anyway. Your mod will take u about 1 year to make anyway. So not like u need it RIGHT! now.

Thanks for your interest in the Half-Life 2 Source engine. We are currently
not shipping SDK's to mod developers but will be shortly.

But note the particular wording. It doesnt say anything about it being available to download shortly... "shipping" to "mod developers" means exactly what? Will one in the end have to apply? Will we have to get it shipped to us (ie on a CD)? Will we have to sign an NDA, etc, etc... Until of course it IS publicly available, but that can be in months, hell long after HL2 release.
