Im 588458648% sure it will run hl² because the last AMD processor did.

Wait, I checked it out, the 3000+ should have 512k cache. Anyways, it's comparative to Intels celeron. It will probably be ~%10 slower than an athlon but still should run HL2 just fine.

As said before the Sempron is Amds value range replacing the Duron. Speaking of Durons in 7 hours my 1.3ghz duron will be replaced with a athlon 3000 xp barton.

semprons aint THAT great
they are budget and you would be better of with a normal amd
they aint that expensive
