Should I take off work? Midnight release? Details inside...

Well I was just informed today that I have too much vacation time built up at work.

And since HL2 will be released tomorrow, it seems like I should take tomrrow off.

My question is this: When tomorrow will it be released? Is it going to be a midnight release? I live in North Carolina, US (EST) so midnight at Valve is 3am my time.

I just don't want to take tomorrow off of work only to find out that the game won't be released until 5pm or something.

I'm sure this has been answered already but trying to wade through this stuff is crazy right now. Thanks! :cheers:

Don't bother skipping work. There has no been no announcement of a midnight release. People are just counting down to when it will be November 16. The activation will not likely be for at least several hours, if not longer, past Midnight PST.

The scheadule of release is not going to be exact on time but the latest HL2 will be activated is only an hour or so after or an hour or so early off the time scheadule. It wont be 5 or 10 hours late! And as for taking a work day off... DO IT. Only if I could

Seeky, I don't think I understand what you posted.

As long as the game is available tomorrow morning, skipping work is a Go. I don't care about playing at exactly 3am EST.

But I'd be pissed if I went to work tomorrow, checked the forums to see when it gets activated, only to see an assload of spoilers.

It's me and my girlfriends 1 year anniversary, so i wont be playing at all tomorrow. I took wednesday off though. My excuse is I will be looking at a real estate development 3 towns over, because my father is potentially in the market for a new home, and I will be a big piece of his final decision.

Where in NC do you live? I'm in Jacksonville. Marine Corps Jarheads are packed in here up to asses and elbows. The beach is nice though.
