It's weird, but I can't remember ever seeing that guy. Ever. It could be because I had to cheat my way through to finish the game (back 3 years when it was the first shooter I'd ever played). I don't even remember any of the little story tidbits. All I know is that you escape in that tram car flying through a drug-induced hallucination...

The third or fourth time I beat it, on Difficult mode, I just ran in circles on the floor shooting the Hivehand at him, which happened to nullify his weapons. He eventually died without me ever going into his head.

His cause of death in this case is not exactly a magical mystery:
