Hey, you guys ever feel like we're reading too much into all these HL2 story line items, and that perhaps the developers made everything as is?

Discoose.

How do you mean?

Like, all these theories people have about the Synths being combine form of creatures from otherworlds, brought to earth to help the combine overwatch, the combine form of humans, takeover.

What if MR. Laidlaw and his buds were just kicking back with some brewsky's one evening, one of his freinds took a hurl, and mark went, "hey that looks like ALIEAMS!" and BOOM! It's ingame.

Or what if the Gman sightings were all just randomly placed by some intern on the development team?

Like that sorta thing. All these theories we have that read really really deep into things, what if one day, we presented them all to Gabe or somebody, and they just went, "you guys gotta be kidding me. We never thought anybody would take the administrator seriously!"

Ehrm... no, I don't think so. There's too much stuff that ties in and fits together that it looks intentional. The puzzle exists, we just don't have all the pieces.

Marc Laidlaw is a writer, he doesn't write a game storyline and leave it at that...

It's basically his job to create a huge universe that may not even come into play.

No, I don't believe it's 'that simple'. Although I do think some people go a little crazy

It's okay, it's okay... why don't you have another bowl of salted pretzels?

Honestly, i think that everyone who discusses g-man's sitings and all that other fantasy bs are pencil neck geeks and i dont think that valve would give a shit if we presented them our thoughts.

Some people do go crazy with this, but it's all good...it's called COMMUNITY
